***Hey, Hey! Come right in and plan, OFFICIAL OCTOBER 2017 thread!!!***

Hello everyone, I'm from Boston. My family and I have a trip planned for Oct 21 - 28th (debating about adding on an extra day!). We are very excited about attending Mickey's Halloween party.

I have 2 kids, my daughter will be 9 and my son almost 4 at the time of the trip. Our first time visiting Disney (for myself and husband included) was 2 years ago. We were instantly bitten by the Disney bug and can't think of a better vacation for our family.

If you able to add an extra day, I for one, think you should GO FOR IT! I just added another night to our October trip. I'll have to lie about the airfare to DH as I initially told him 8 nights. :scratchin

Hey everyone! If you're travelling on Southwest, check your fares! I found a 4800 point fare from Midway to Orlando and that's so much lower than what I had before, so now I added on a night. YOLO as the kids say these days.
Oct 3-6 at Pop, 6-9 at Portofino at Universal.

Just found this thread. We're doing a split stay in October-
10/15-10/20-BCV
10/20-10/20-AKV Kidani

Hey! It has been quite a while since I was on here. I just wanted to say that my trip has been moved. We'll now be going in Nov for my daughter's bday. Hope everyone has fun. I'm sad I'll be missing the Halloween party, but I'll be getting seeing the Christmas one instead.

Pretty good trade off I would say. I don't think there's a bad time to visit WDW although September is pretty tough. Have fun!

Just wanted to say thanks! I saw this right after you posted it and I jumped online and book a very good price for my departure flight (157 each rather than the 300 I have been seeing). There wasnt anything good for the return trip but I'm going to keep my eyes peeled. If you see another sale let me know.

Woot! I check a lot. Depending on your flight day you might not see much change. I'm flying back on Columbus Day and aside from getting very lucky I don't believe we'll do much better than 10k points per flight. But it all evens out with that very nice departure.

Myself, my daughter and 4 year old Granddaughter will be arriving on October 26th and staying until November 4th at Pop Century! This is my granddaughters first trip and we are so excited!

Booking BOG feels like winning a prize doesn't it :cool1:. Congrats. I'll be there on a birthday trip that week as well with BOG lunch on the 4th and BOG Dinner on the 5th.
Yay! Happy birthday to us. I'll be at BOG on the 5th for QSR lunch! And yes booking it feels like you won the lotto haha

So excited!! Me and DH are heading down Oct 4-9th for a couples only Disney getaway!!!! We love DW and try to get there or go on a cruise. October can't get here soon enough. We are staying at POR this time, we wanted to try a different resort this time. Made all our ADRs yesterday and got all the restaurants that we wanted. This will be our first magicband trip- last time we were there was using the cards in 2010.

10 more days 'til ADRs for October, and 22 days until my Flower and Garden Festival trip! Then, I come home and try to deal with the long stretch of nothingness until FP day, LOL! #firstworldproblems

I decided to add a day on to our trip since I found a departing flight on southwest that was cheaper than anything I was seeing on flights for the next day as well as all the flight I was seeing across multiple airlines wouldn't get us to MCO until 7pm or later.

Since the flight I booked will be getting us to MCO at 9:30pm I figured we won't be enjoying the parks or resort on arrival day-just grabbing a bite to eat and heading straight to bed to hit rope drop at AK the next day so there wasn't much of a point in paying much for that first night so I booked a night at ASMovies.

We are staying in a King bed room. Has anyone stayed in those rooms? Just was wondering about others who had stayed in them and what they thought,

I am in this stretch at the moment. Having been obsessively researching prior to the ADR date, I now have so much free time, I don't know what to do with myself! Breaking up the stretch by doing the big trip reveal for my DD on her 10th birthday in July (then we can plan the FP together lol)

Lol agreed. SO much time and obsession energy went into researching and planning ADRs and the basic outline of our trip, like which parks on which days and what meal times work the best for the nightly entertainment that are on the must do's list-and which nightly entertainment is a must do. Now I feel like I dont know what to do with myself as I wait for FP+ day. I guess i'll just have to hang out here on the Dis with all of you:disrocks::surfweb: :grouphug:

Already at the point for ADR's for me and have already plugged the main ones I wanted I have 2 BoG's scheduled lol and had no problems getting ADR's for them either !
