Quick question. Had to rebook my vacation for October. Do I get new magic bands or do I use the same ones that were mailed for my September trip that was cancelled and rebooked to December?

I'm not really sure about that, but I do think your original ones will work fine.

Did you cancel and rebook? Or did you modify your reservation to a later date?

If you cancelled, you will get a brand new set of bands with your new reservation. Both sets will definitely work for tickets and SHOULD open your room automatically. The front desk may need to just double check the bands for room access and charging (my band NEVER works for any reservation, something with my MDE).

If you modified your old reservation, you will not receive additional bands.

MagicBands enter "customization" at 30 days out and usually ship in 3-5 days. I would say you should see them by 20 days out.

Did you have a room only reservation or package? Is the number the same as your previous trip?

If you can see the reservation in MDE, it should have a pending MagicBand order that says "get started" if its a new reservation.

If you can see the reservation in MDE, but have no pending MagicBand orders, you will not be receiving any additional bands.

I have same number and my magic bands show active. Nothing pending. So I take it that the bands I have will work. Thanks for the information!

I am 25 days out today, and the MB's came yesterday or Saturday I think. Been distracted with Irma as my DD is there in the college program.

But on to shopping: haven't done much other than HM decals for MB, Haunted mansion ears and skirt off Etsy, and a purple shrug to go with the rest of the HM ensemble for the Halloween party. Just waiting on skirt now.

Am going with my MiL and SiL (neither of whom have been in 25 years). Sent the explanation of what MB's were to them when we booked and told them to pick colors by Sept 6. Reminder a week out to pick colors (and another explanation on why we get them and how they are used). No response so I picked the colors. Send pic of the MB's to them and my MiL texts back "what are Magic bands" and sis in law says "I want the green one!" (Picked orange for her!) Newbies!!! Told my middle kid today what her grandma and aunt's response was to the MB pics and she died laughing too.

I feel like a crazy person. I am hunting for BOG reservation 1 person at a time. I have 2/5 already. Just missed a 2 person reservation 18 days to find them!

Word of advice when looking for an ADR for 2-tables for 2 are in limited supply because they are actually smaller tables thand those for parties of 4 or more (or so I'm told I am just a quick study asking questions of others) when you search for reservations run all the choices of party sizes so maximize your odds even if you have to add imaginary people to the reservation. I couldnt get Rose and Crown at 180 at 7:30 to save my life-infact it kept saying there was nothing after 6:30. I then searched party of 4 and bingo I got a 7:20.

Also, according to Pete and the Dis Unplugged team BOG gets a lot easier when you hit the cancellation window because of people holding multiple ADR's and then picking the one that best suits there touring plan right before the cancellation window closes anda fee would be charged.

I have 2 BOG (One lunch and one dinner) because I want to try 2 different rooms. I cant wait to get there already!

I got my shipping email at the 30 day mark and I received them 3 days later. It was pretty quick. They were faster than I was expecting to they sat at the post office for a day because the tracking info was showing them in San Francisco when they were actually here already.

And I just realized I never added our flight info for DME! Since we booked flights a couple months after the resort (and then I modified the resort for discounts) I never got an email confirming the DME. Got my email now though...so hopefully tags get here!

Will I regret that decision? We will be leaving for a break by 1 pm so I don't expect to be there all afternoon in them.

I'm not entirely sure if you get new magic bands but you can login to your mde and click on "Magicbands and Cards" to find out if there's an order for another set of magicbands.

I don't know what pixie pants look like but I do remember how hot and humid it was when we were at Disney from Oct 1st to 5th last year. It was really hot and very humid!

These are the colors I picked for October too. The one bummer for me about having an AP is booking room only and not getting the luggage tags! We have some from last December, but I really want both of these that come with orange and purple.

I have these luggage tags... You may have them if you want. Please private message me with a mailing address and I will send them out. Caveat: they have address labels on the back but you can cover over them, I guess. Anyway, let me know
