He's Going to Camp AND We're Still Going to Disney:) Update Dec 14 post #665

I just wanted to let you all know that I just uploaded all of the Day 4 pictures to Photobucket. I think pooksma would like to do the next update which she will do as soon as MeMom finishes their journey through her Day 3.
:rotfl2:

Not only am I slow on our report, but now I'm slowing down yours.
I really should be kicked out.

But please don't kick me out!

I sowwy! (I've been around Brooklynn, so toddlerspeak is on my brain.)

And, you'll be happy to know, we have just left Animal Kingdom and are about to embark on Day Four! :thumbsup2

Don't worry, I won't give you the boot. I just didn't want to confuse the thousands and thousands of readers who are reading both reports. Day 4 for you and Day 4 for us are a few weeks apart. It could really mess a person up.
:rotfl:

Hard to believe its already been a whole month since this day happened.

Off to early EMH at DHS. We arrived at rope drop but couldn't see any thing and like MANY :crowded: others, headed to FP Toy Story Mania. When we queued up at the FP machine, the return time was 11:05. When we got to the machine, our return time was 12:20.

We walked around and rode Star Tours.

and hoped for a Dream Team visit. It was not to be, so we contented ourselves with a visit to Muppet Vision.

I always loved " Piiiigs iiiin Spaaaace"

After visiting with Sweetums, we checked out the Backlot Tour. The theme of friendly people continued as the girl sitting next to me asked if I minded if she snuggled up:hug: when the water came as she didn't fancy the idea of getting wet. She was a newlywed and I though her new DH would have been the preferred choice:lmao: but he was seated on the outside of the car.

Orlando...are you in there? If you are, I'm coming in too !:lovestruc

After we went to get FPs for RnRC (yeah baby!) then stopped to snack on a cinammon bun and watch DH's new girlfriend Babs. :cutie: She winked at him several times during the show. I think that's why he took all of these closeups:rotfl:

Some shots from One Man's Dream. I am ashamed to say this was our first time through.

Time for TSM!!!!!!!! Ok I think I understand why the queues were so huge. Hopefully some of the lines will ease up before we take DS next year.

Pics from the queue:

So many games, so little time. From A barrel of Monkeys...

To Scrabble.

From inside: Dominos anyone?

or would you rather colour??

We could look at the Viewmaster. (I KNOW I'm NOT the only one who had some of these)

This was a lot of fun. DS will love it. I scored Bunny and DH scored Beaver. The pull-string guns were a hoot.

Bye Woody!

From there we went to GMR, a sentimental fav. We had the Cowboy routine for the first time. I liked it better than the gangster one we had seen on Wednesday.

Off to RnRC and the whiplash of a lifetime. :scared1:  :woohoo:
We were in the very back of the car and snapped around like a twig during a storm. Holy Crap! I love that ride but will NEVER sit there again. I will need the massage for sure now.

Ate lunch at the ABD Commisary. We both ordered the Ugly Betty Combos. Uh. Even the chocolate mousse was a let down. Hopefully Boma will be better than this.

Next up...AKL:lovestruc , an unexpected DISMeet:yay: and who eats three bowls of soup on the DDP :confused3 ?

great update and pics.

how lucky you got the cowboy version on GMR.

It is insane the way i here fp's r going for TS.

Great pictures! I love the viewmaster... we used to have quite a few of those around home. (Of course, I have nine brothers and sisters, so they weren't all mine!) I would never have remembered what it was called though.

Scrabble is my favorite board game, so I love the decor. (The game does start, however, on the pink square with the black star, just in case the Army men aren't sure how to play.)

I have definitely gone through my share of Viewmasters - the plain red ones, then later they added blue as a choice, I believe. My kids had them, but they had gotten fatter and added storage spots for the reels. Now they talk, too.

Rock-n-Rollercoaster is the only ride I can no longer do, because something about the way it pulls, twists, or turns my back and neck is very painful. I was fine with riding it, but then on the next trip after I had gotten slammed by a teenage driver and spun around into a telephone pole, I found that ride very painful. I did again on the next trip and got the same result, so I've retired from it. I guess the combination of whatever the wreck did to me and however RnRC runs is just not a combination that is going to work for this old lady.

Good pictures. Thanks for sharing your Hollywood Studios time with us. I like Hollywood Studios in the evening when all the shop lights and street lights are on. I think it's pretty!

I'm looking forward to hearing about a surprise Dis meet!

Love your Hollywood Studios update. RnRC is awesome. :thumbsup2 Scares me to death, but I still keep riding it !!! We did the ABC Commissary too and Kelli got the Ugly Betty and said it was awful!! She got sick later that night and I think she partially attributes if to that sandwich. :lmao: Isn't the queue at TSM really cool. That's one ride I didn't mind waiting in line for because I enjoyed all the games and toys from my childhood. We love GMR too but we've never seen the cowboy version, we always get the gangsters. We rode it twice this trip and both times we got a female gangster. Now I believe in equality and all that, but a female gangster just didn't quite cut it in my book. :rotfl:

That was our first time ever with the Cowboy version. We really liked it.

Great pictures.

Thanks again.

I think everyone had a viewmaster. Declan has a newer version that uses cartridges instead of the disks.

Too bad about RnR, it's a lot of fun and I liked the back car but pooksma is right about the whipping you around.

I like all the parks at night and I have managed to get pictures at all of them except AK (grrrr) More on that later.

Love the pictures from TSM! It looks so fun! I can't wait to ride!

It was great but I warn you, your arm can get tired pulling on that rope trigger.

I think my favorite part of TSM is that queue line! I love all the larger than life toys!!!

We only saw the FP line which is relatively short. I'm not ready for a 100 minute wait to photograph the regular queue.

I think the Ugly Betty burger is a veggie burger. That explains it all to me.

Your right about the female gangster; they have to be really good to pull it off. Our first time through this trip both the female gangster and the femake tour guide were not very good.

An unexpected DIS meet? Who? who? Who!?

We were at the Epcot EMH with you guys but I didn't spot you! It seems we rode the same rides at the same time too, shucks!

I used to love my Viewmaster!!! I'm pretty sure that I had the DisneyWorld cards for it too...(did they even make them :confused3 or am i dreaming that?)

The pictures of Muppet Vision were great. I love the holding area and all the things on the walls and ceiling to look at and read.

I loved mine and I think I had the Disney movie ones, Cinderella and such. I do remember it was red with white accents, till my little brother broke it:rotfl:

Then I got a blue one.

Evening all.

I hope you are all doing well and there is no one in Ike's way. It sounds like a big one.

We hope to do another update this weekend. We are pet-sitting for a bit and tonight we are off to see Nick Moss and the Flip Tops at our Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. Talk to you soon.

I hope IKE stays away from all of the DIS'ers. On CNN it looks like a terrible evening ahead for Texas. Prayers to everyone. I hope you faired okay this week. The Maritimes got hammered on this week, weather wise.
Once again you didn't disapoint with your pics. Splendid!!! I can only imagine what you could do with a better camera. Pooksma maybe a thought for Christmas? Always nice to stop by.;)
