Here now, OMG buses.

glad to know you are the coding police....I have more important things to do than CODE when I use my phone. If I wanted to shout at you or anyone else, I WOULD USE ALL CAPS FOR MY ENTIRE POST!

btw how do you kaytieeldr, Magpie, and minnie mum like being shout out as stalkers of my personal profile? Looking for anything? See anything you like? Seriously, WHO needs to get a life here?

Um.... you do realize that you have "STEPHANIE MOMMY TO OLIVER (3)" in giant glittery letters in your signature at the bottom of every post, right? :lmao:

I don't need to look any further than that.

oh but you did...don't deny it since it KEEPS TRACK of who views your profile....want to keep lying and denying?!?!?!? And if you knew anything about siggie's you'd know you can produce them on another site (as it says underneath the outdated "Stephanie Mommy to Oliver (3)" siggie and any thing else in it...I did NOT create the code myself there, genius!

It's a PUBLIC profile! I regularly view the profiles of people I'm talking to. That's not a violation of anything. Feel free to look at mine.

And why on earth would you want to keep an outdated, false siggie? :confused3 It's not hard to delete, you know. You could even make a new one! (Or, you know, ask your kid to do it for you, if you can't manage it yourself.)

I feel so sad for some of your children. If this is how you behave on a site like this, I can only imagine what type of parents you are.

And I think maybe the point of this whole thread is that common sense is, unfortunately, not common these days. If you need to leave the sleeping or rowdy child in the stroller while you wait in line, go for it - but unpack everything else and be ready to pop the kiddo out and fold up when the bus pulls up - not wait until you are at the stairs of the bus and begin to unload.

Sigh. Police? Really? You claim inability to use shortcuts, and you consider directions on using the keyboard for coding to be "the coding police"?

I can't speak for the other posters, but I don't give a mouse's patoot about your profile. I used the DIS search feature as a fast, convenient way to locate your first posts (the two I quoted a page or so back) in this thread. It made more sense than seating through twenty-five or so pages. Knowing those other posters as I do, I'm sure they accessed your information for the same reason. They're at least as efficient as I.

Neither is stupidity of people assuming people mentioning things after the fact is simply because they are backed into a corner. You betcha you back me into a corner I'm gonna be none too pleasant. But you also forget in your ignorance as well that no where on this board do we EVER have to layout our family medical history prior to any post. I have repeatedly said I can careless about the wait for the ECVs to load. You people don't get that through you thick, bloated, high and mighty heads do you. I simply called out the person who originally said putting them on a separate bus was segregation (I WAS NOT MY IDEA). I simply said how is it any different than providing them with other separate services that segregate them from the general population?!??!? I don't see anyone else calling out the people who CLAIM they use ECVs and WCs as liars. I do not ask you to pardon me for mentioning a rare disease, again I can care less that you are not going to be my bff! The point was, no one here has a CLUE from what background people come from yet they are so fast to point their crooked little fingers at such proclaimed by themselves evil! God forbid you actually have a day when you child comes up to you with a thought different than yours simply because they have a more opened mind and actually CHALLENGE your drab way of thinking by thinking out of the box!

BWAHAHAHA. Yeh thanks for that info but we already HAVE a handicap placard! Who needs to be educated now? People who cast stone, you tell me?!?!?

Why? I have every right to be here and express my opinion just as everyone else who is here spewing their hatred towards me!

Actually, none of us have any "right" to be here. We're here only as long as we follow the rules and behave ourselves.

There are actually mods on this board, capable of handing out points and revoking posting privileges, and they do get around to reading almost everything (even if it appears they're busy with their real lives at the moment).
And we are watching, always watching.

Yes, well aware and I have made it clear to them that I have simply been defending my opinions while being attacked by others because of a different thought process on this thread.
Good to know.

Okay, here's the thing...I have asked for this thread to be moved to my board...hasn't happened yet. If it were on my thread, there would be some issues here. The word filter have been circumvented, several times...against board guidelines. Namecalling, sarcastic posting??? Again, against board guidelines.
No one is spewing any hatred here...only one poster. Many other posters have tried dealing with that poster intelligently!! Hasn't worked. This has gotten ridiculous...the original intent of the thread has completely gone away. You might want to get back on track guys. Sad, very sad.

Searching for a post doesn't lend ones name to show up under a viewed profile!

I have no idea what you're talking about... :confused3

Any time someone visits your public profile, it shows up in the little box on the right hand side of the page.

Oh, and we're also all allowed to look at everything anyone else has ever posted too... that's also public and completely A-OK. It's what the "find all posts by" button is for. So be sure to delete anything you don't want future generations reading.

Ok i am currently on a bus that left the
Poly 20 minutes ago.

We have made it as far as the GF !

Why??? Strollers and scooters. Half the bus is full with them , looks like 8 seats are not usablebecause of them. Each stop is taking close to 15 minutes. If your at Contemporary, i would plan an hour at least.

Be prepared to add alot of extra time because buses are full

How this thread turned into this monster ill never know.

I WAS trying to be informative. And the truth is the buses were packed , even more so due to the large amount of strollers n ECV, or scooters or whatever you want to call them

Just wanted people to have a heads up.

IMO there are still way more of the giant strollers and EVC thsn there have every been, more and more each visit. Again IMO

Not that anyone is asking my opinion but i think there should be a limit on stroller size. Running strollers are completely unnecessary in WDW. Might as well bring in golf carts next!!!! ;)

Disney must not agree. Their doubles are huge! I don't think anyone should have to buy a stroller just for a trip. But that is just my opinion.

How do you put a limit on stroller size? Tell people that they have to leave some of their kids behind? Or, force everyone to use the front to rear double/triple strollers, but I'm sure you'd find a way to whine and complain about that as well, right?

If the 2 ecv seat areas were taken already then it isn't as though they were loading and unloading. Where are they supposed to put them?

There is a limit on stroller size:
Are there any personal items I should not bring with me into the theme parks?

Items that you may not bring into the theme parks include but are not limited to:

Items with wheels, such as:
Wheeled Mobility Devices: To promote the safety of Guests across our parks and resorts, the following guidelines are currently in place. All wheeled mobility devices must have three or four wheels and maintain stability and balance when stopped, unpowered, or unoccupied. Training wheels or similar modifications are not permitted.
Wagons
Skateboards
Scooters
Inline skates
Shoes with built-in wheels
Strollers larger than 36" x 52" (92 x 132 cm)
Suitcases, coolers or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" (61 cm) long x 15" (38 cm) wide x 18" (46 cm) high. (Coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations.)
Any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller

Disney must not agree. Their doubles are huge! I don't think anyone should have to buy a stroller just for a trip. But that is just my opinion.

I getcha - But you cannot take them on a bus. I think that is the OP's point. ;)

Monster is right!!! Nice job! :stir:

Obviously (for those who can't see that) that was said in a joking manner...
xipotec Are you home now??? How was your trip overall?
Did you enjoy the Poly? :goodvibes

I have a disabled child and have looked into how to get and use a Guest Assistance Card and Im pretty sue that everywhere it's discussed it is pointed out VERY clearly that a wheelchair/ECV/GAC is NOT a front of the line pass and it often results in longer waits. I haven't used it yet, but based n that information I can't imagine somene wanting to use an ECV just for that purpose.

If you would please reread my post I did say it is rare, but happens. Also, while it is true that people using an ECV or wheelchair (I am not familiar with how a GAC works) are not guaranteed front of the line access for rides, they do receive front of the line access on many WDW rides and I fell that is the way it should be. What I am saying is it is abused by a small majority of people and I still stand by my statement.

I didn't say I searched for a post. I wanted to find all your posts in this thread efficiently.

You do that through the poster's profile.

True. But if we still had little boys we would bring our stroller. They've out priced what we would pay. I'm guessing others have made the same choice.

They do have a limit on stroller size and wheeled conveyances that can be brought into the parks. So no, they do not tell people they have to leave their kids behind, but if they can't get the stroller through the gates they may have to leave it outside and rent one.

Um then you do know what I am talking about. Are you now yelling at me since you typed "a-ok" in all caps?!?! I'm not quite getting this double standard as I have mentioned all along here!

PS I have NOTHING to hide and you can ask any mod if I've deleted anything on your behalf because (well while you won't believe me anyways) that answer is NO!

A-OK is usually capitalized in writing.

From the American Heritage Dictionary:

A-OK also A-O·kay (-k)
adj. Informal
Perfectly all right: The doctor told me that it was A-OK to discontinue the medicine.
A-OK adv. & n.

Also, stalking:

1. To pursue by tracking stealthily.

Or alternatively, from Wikipedia: "According to a 2002 report by the National Center for Victims of Crime, (stalking is), "Virtually any unwanted contact between two people [that intends] to directly or indirectly communicates a threat or places the victim in fear can be considered stalking"[1] although in practice the legal standard is usually somewhat more strict."

I'm thinking this word does not mean what you think it means.

If you pull up in an ecv to a non mainstreamed line you are asked to transfer. Mom couldn't ride pp last trip because I couldn't push her because of my own issues. Upper body not mobility issues. Since there are more ecvs she has had to wait for multiple buses due to capacity and ramp issues. Fair and equal would say that all the bus should be available if she got there first. Lol, but that isn't how life works.

You will always have people who just don't want to walk, etc. but when we have her in the scooter we see far less of the parks. Time is lost because of it. It isn't a big deal because traveling with her is a treasure far more important than the quantity of rides hit in a day. :)
