I don't know about anyone else, but my kids couldn't even flush a toilet without getting seasick (just kidding, but they were did have problems with motion sickness) anyhow found some information on motion illness and decided to add it to this list under emergency info for those that may need such help or for just in case

I could really benefit from advise on preventing sea sickness! I have in the past gotten green on smaller boats. This is my 1st cruise and hoping it wouldn't be an issue here. BUT just in case, what works and doesnt work for all of you?

Here are a few links that could help - I know that I have always gotten worse than green, BUT when Norm and I went on a cruise several years ago, I was stunned that I didn't get seasick and I didn't take anything - now what I did do a number of times was wiped my face with cold water and went out where the fresh breeze would make me feel better - also my mom always had a cold lime for me to suck on when we went over on a ferry between Key West and Cuba, BUT that was an ol' conch thing and I guess I must have believed in it for it seemed to help at times. With my kids, 3 of the 6, still get
sick so just maybe someone will give some hints here.

Say shirley I ws just sitting here thinking Is it right you like 2 weeks notice for baskets? Maybe that is information you should add to the blurb about perfect gift..... how much lead time you like and maybe even best/worst days to call.

As SwilPhil said - go to the first page and then start reading - it gives you a great deal of information you may need when coming here for a cruise or just a vacation or even excursions. You will have to take the time to go to all the links about all the places you want to know - this makes it easier for you instead of posting and trying to read all the information given. These are taken as the most popular information asked on a number of boards.

Mary was kind enough to put this thread in the FAQ under Misc - you have to keep checking daily on this since I keep adding to it almost everyday - I have a letter from a company in Cozmel that is willing to help cruisers, BUT I want to check it further before I post it to make sure they will follow through with their promises - they have offered me a "commission" but I have refused it and asked that the savings be given to the cruisers - Guess sometimes folks are not use to having someone do something for just because without any strings attached. anyhow will post something as soon as I find out the outcome.

That is so great - I will be starting next week to check out the hotels and start rating them as I see them - some will agree some won't, but this will be my experience with each of the hotels and I feel it will help everyone - don't know how long it will take me, but I am sure folks will take everything into consideration as to what others have experienced - this is just going to be sort of a jumping board.
Also the Dinosaur Store is building a HUGE building accross from where they are now and will be ready to open by 2008. It will really be great for kids of all ages.
