Hello All,

I have been reading all of the great advice in the forum posts and I believe I have confused myself! My question is - We are Florida residents and are planning on purchasing Play 4 tickets to be used Dec 18 -Dec 21 2010. We would like to upgade these tickets to Fl Season Passes. Do we have 6 months after the tickets are used to upgrade to Seasonal Passes or is it not possible because we are using the tickets during a "black out" period?

Thanks for your assistance.

Kelley

All upgrades must be done within 14 days of first use of the ticket.

As for the black-out dates are concerned, I am not sure, but I would think you could just wait until the last day of your vacation (after you've gone through the turnstiles) to upgrade to the seasonal ticket and avoid any issues with BO dates.

1- Yes. Six months from first use.

2- The way I read the rule is, you cannot upgrade a ticket that is used on a blackout date, ON a blackout date.

I stand corrected. ;) I forgot the FL resident Play tickets had different rules.

From CF's Thread Found here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1452684

A Florida Resident who is upgrading a "Play Three" or "Play Four" ticket may do the upgrade any time within six months of the date of first use. The Florida Resident will also have the option of a Weekday Select Pass or Seasonal Pass, as well as an AP, PAP or DPP. Note that the six month rules does not apply if upgrading to any Annual Pass using the Monthly Payment Plan; in this instance the upgrade may only be done within 14 days of first use.

And, as Robo said: On a day when a WSP or SP is blocked out, you cannot upgrade to a WSP or SP from a ticket you have used it that day. However, even if a ticket has been used on a blockout day, it can be upgraded to a WSP or SP as long as the day of upgrade is either on a date that is not blocked out or before entering a Park on a blocked out date.

It is hard to put this in writing, but I hope my phrasing makes sense.

Thanks for the information. Here is what I have surmised
1. We can use the play 4 days tickets in December.
2. In January - after the block out days are over - we can upgrade the tickets to season passes. The season passes date will be effective with the first day we used the tickets in December.

My one question is - if we use all four days during December - do we have to upgrade in 14 days from the first day of use or do we have 6 months? This would make a difference in when we use the tickets as the black out days are into January 2011

Thanks

Kelley

1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. Nope.
4. Yes.
