Help.....Which week would be better in early Dec.?

I am so confused about which week would be better to go to WDW?
Arrive Wed. Nov. 30- Dec. 5
OR
Arrive Wed. Dec. 7 - Dec. 12

I'd appreciate any imput.

We went last dec 2004...from the 9th-12th before going on our DCL cruise.


It was wonderful, no crowds ( except for MVMCP ) as for the week before, well I can't help you with that. I think it would be about the same.

If you do Nov. 30 - Dec. 5, the Thanksgiving crowds will be gone and it'll be the quieter of the 2 weeks. Pop Warner teams and cheerleaders are there from Dec. 4-11 so you'll only deal with them 1 or 2 days.

What are "Pop Warner teams"? How crazy is it that week? I just found out that our marching band will be at WDW Dec. 6-11; as soon as they finalize plans for the band, I'm going to make reservations for DH and I (no way are we going to chaperone!). I was hoping to try Pop Century this time, but will it be too crazy? I think our band will be staying off-site, but I want to stay on-site. If Pop Century or one of the All Stars will be over-run with teenagers, maybe we'd be better off staying at Port ORleans.

What are "Pop Warner teams"? How crazy is it that week?

Pop Warner are the kids football/cheerleading leagues from across the country who make it to the championships held at WWoS (Wide World of Sports). Most of them stay at the All Star resorts, but you'll find some at Pop and the mods. During the week they have playoffs, but sometimes you'll find groups of them around the parks.

Two years ago we were at ASMu and they were pretty loud - cheering at all hours, running by the rooms at late hours, etc. This year I'll be at OKW - hopefully it'll be quieter!!!!

We left the monday after Thanksgiving and stayed until the Dec 5th last year. The weather was great,chilly at night. Parks not crowded except for MVMCP. We are going again this year right after Thanksgiving.

The least crowded week is the 3rd though the 11th. That's what I booked. The Thanksgiving crowds are gone, and Pop warner week is the next week.

There are people who have posted some of the cheap rooms are now booked for the week immediately following Thanksgiving this year. That leads me to believe that the crowds may be higher than expected the first week after Thanksgiving.

I am also concerned that airfares will be high if you try to fly to the park Thanksgiving weekend.

that being said, go any week but the 3rd though the 11th, because I want the parks to myself that week. I'm booked at CS and looking for rates less than the sub one twenty AAA rate I booked

I believe the Pop Warner week is the 4th-11th. Someone here at DIS checked their web site and posted the dates a couple of weeks ago.
