Ok, I'm crying "Uncle" at this point. I've scoured the DIS boards, the WDW website ( including the MDE portion) and EasyWDW boards and still can't figure some things out. I'm going to WDW with DS, 11, next month. I have 2 old paper tickets (unexpired and before MYW) with 1 day with hopper left on them for both me and DS. I've linked these to my MDE account and can see they're valid with 1 day + hopper left. I've played around with advanced FP+ ressies and know I can make plans 30 days out. We are staying off-site. My 30-day window opens this Friday and I'm stressing over certain FP+'s (SDMT) so I'll be making these advanced FP+'s when said window opens up. Ok, here comes the question part...I want to buy 2 additional days for us and have them linked to MDE by this weekend when that precious 30-day window opens. This is all in an effort to make those FP+ Plans. The valid ticket must be linked in order to do that. If I buy them from the WDW website, does that new ticket show in my MDE automatically or must I link them manually? How do I do this if it takes several weeks to get a ticket by mail? I need the code on the back to scan. Incidentally, we both have MB's from a previous trip that I'd like to use. How do I purchase tickets on-line AND get them linked to MDE all in a few days? :confused3
Next question: say my first 2 days in the parks are single park days on the newly purchased ticket and my 3rd day is using the old hopper pass. How does the scanner know when I enter the park that first day that I'm NOT using my hopper day? I'd hate to burn my hopper that first day when my intention is to hop on my 3rd day.
Now, I need input on my tentative schedule. We are there 6/21-6/28. I plan to go to the parks 3 days-
-DHS on Sunday at RD. I'd like FP's for TSMM, ToT, and ST. Getting there early so hoping to ride RnRC standby. Right now, I have an ADR for SciFi at 4:35 (figuring an early sit-down dinner would be welcomed by this point).
-Epcot on Wednesday at RD. FP's for either TT or Soarin' (really can't decide which to FP and which to attempt RD dash!). Other FP's could be MS green or Spaceship Earth. ADR for Via Napoli @ 2pm.
-Hopping on Friday with AK in morning (RD) and MK in afternoon/night. All AK attractions would be standby so the FP's are saved for MK. MK FP's would be SDMT, BTMRR, HM. No ADR this day- no time! I chose to group MK & AK together because DS is least "thrilled" with MK and I feel like AK can be done by 3-ish.
Thoughts/advice on my itinerary?
Whew!!! I know this is a lot of questions! Thanks for any help you all can offer. I consider y'all the true experts! ;)

If anyone's reading my post and scratching their head, I have answers! I just got off the phone with a CM (soooo helpful) and she cleared some things up. First, when I purchase tickets online, I can link them immediately to MDE with my order confirmation number (duh, why didn't I see that before). That way, I can go ahead with my advanced FP+ reservations.
Next, if your tickets, like mine, have a few days of single parks and a day of hopping and you want to specify which days will be hopping and which are single parks, either the Disney internet Help Desk or Guest Services (when I arrive) can assign the order of use, ie Day 1- single park, Day 2- single park, Day3- hopper pass, to my MB. There, hope this helps anyone with similar questions!
:thumbsup2

I recently purchased 2 6 tickets for family members online. Neither of them has their own Mde account & are just on mine. both of the tickets did show up on my MDE account pretty much right away.
