We applied two dark shirt iron-on transfers to 100% cotton shirts tonight and they both look like they have bubbles or singe marks on them. They are not air-pockets - the transfers are firmly applied to the shirts and the colors are fine - but there are these marks that seem to follow the pattern of our iron. Transfers are June Tailor from Wal-Mart. We applied a different pattern with the same transfer the other night and it looked fine - but the transfer was smaller, more of a solid color and didn't have as much detail. What did we do wrong tonight? My husband thinks the iron was too hot. Is that possible?

Did you have the steam on? That may have caused the problem if it is the same as the iron pattern. You have to have the steam off.
