I have planned several trips to WDW and you would think it would be easy now!

Having a tough time deciding which parks which days. Where and when to eat too! :confused3 I am thinking of just winging it and forget about the planning!! :rolleyes1

Can't decide if I should follow touringplans.com advice on crowd levels, best and worst days info or use EMH. :confused3

Arghhhhhh!! Anyone else hit a road block when planning your trip? How did you pull it together???

BTW my trip dates are 12/16 - 12/21 (leaving at night).

I trust the Unofficial Guide. If you would like for me to help you, I would be glad to try. Just PM me with some details. Maggie

It's going to be such a busy time of year you really might want to at least book dining. Beyond that, I think most plans are going to go right out the window due to crowd levels, so if you're happy going without a real detailed plan, that's what I would suggest.

EMH works really well at AK in the evening but it's a nightmare at MK in the evening. You may want to do a mix of EMH and non-EMH days, leaving one park when it gets busy and going into another park. I'd guess MK's Extra Magic Morning might be a real good idea as it's the park most likely to be spam-in-a-can.

Use the Busy Day guide for which park on which day with a few EMH thrown in for good measure, make some dining plans, then wing it! :teeth:

I decided not to plan once and just wing it, BIG mistake. Ended up trying to decide what to do while there and ended up wishing had made plan. So much easier to be there with a plan.

I use the UG for best days now. I love that calandar!! They do all that work (computers doing algorhythms, for crying out loud!), they've gotta know more than I. Only time I stray is if I want to do early entry (which I usually don't).
:flower:

we usually work around EMH`s, (mostly in the evenings), only because we`re usually there in the summer, and it is at least, alittle cooler in late afternoon, early evening ( especially if it rains for an hour or more ). I don`t go by the crowd thing (its always crowded that time of year) I don`t think that I could "just wing it", I would feel lost without a plan :earseek: mabe you could make a couple of ADR`s (the places to eat that you most enjoy), then fit the park times around them (before or after) :flower:

It may be heresy, but I say "Wing It, Baby!" :rotfl2:

I'm the planner in the family and always had our trips pretty well scheduled. Well, particularly since we bought into DVC, it has got to the point where we figure that anything we miss we can see next time (or in the next 48 years).

Note, however, that we are NOT big on eating at WDW TS restaurants; this would be the only thorn to not planning. Of course, I have the park hours, EMH, parades & such on one page, but there are times that we don't decide until after our mid-day break exactly what we're going to do that night. It's remarkably refreshing - again, as long as you are as flexible as Mrs. Incredible!

Thanks for the replies!

I am going to go with a rough game plan and see what happens! I will use best days/ worst days to make it.

I was feeling a little overwhelmed trying to figure it out for some reason!

I will probably only make 2 ADR's.

Thanks again!
