Hi, Can everyone buy the park hopper tickets and how does it work??? Do you have to already know beforehand the exact dates you are planning to go? Can you buy them any time or do they sell out?? I'm asking because I saw the deal on the disney site of 5 days for the price of 3 days. We are planning a trip from overseas in march but I don't know the exact dates yet. When I asked our travel agent this morning, she didn't even know about it. They just have regular 3 day 4 days etc and their prices for 3 of us came to almost $100 more than the deal. Also, if I do buy it on-line does anyone know if they add tax or anything to it or is the price listed the exact price? Sorry to seem so clueless about all this!!!! I'm just wondering if I should or even can buy them online now if they are going to sell out before I know our travel dates.

I'm curious where you found this deal of 5 days for the price of three, I went to the disneyland site to try to find it because my parents would like to join me on my trip for five days and I've been trying to find them a deal, would you mind posting the link to these tickets?

In answer to your questions:
Yes everyone can buy park hopper tickets, they enable you to get into both Disneyland park and Disney California park. You dont' need to know the exact dates of your trip but I believe the tickets are only good for a period of time. It appears that the tickets they're selling on the disneyland page are only good for 2007, you would need to buy ones that are good 2008 for your march trip. As for adding taxes, I haven't bought tickets online yet but I would guess they would charge additional taxes.

Edit: I just found the deal for 5 days for the price of 3 and it is for 2008. Which may explain why your travel agent knows nothing about it as they may still be dealing with 2007 tickets. I don't really know how it works but I believe it doesn't sell out, it's only an offer available for a period of time.

I would never buy the tickets from DL's website directly. Here's a link that always has the best deals on tickets:

http://www.mousesavers.com/dltickets.html

It explains the promotion better too. But for now, DL's website is the only site that is offering that deal, so I would wait for a couple months until other sources (with no tax) pick up on the new promo.

Thanks very much! As I am overseas....does anyone know of where else online I should keep an eye out for a better deal? Also, my mom lives in Santa Barbara.....is there somewhere direct she would be able to buy them for us or does everything need to be specifically in our names? Thanks again everyone!
