I've had this problem before and THOUGHT I figured out a way around it, but I think I only fixed it half way.
When I run disk clean up, it will empty the recycle bin and temp files, but I can not get it to compress the old files! There are more than 218,000 ....something of them in there! They won't go way!
Now, if I run disk clean up, check the compress old files box, then tell it to view files, I can see the list of all the specific files. If I right click the file, a box appears with the option to "remove". Can I get rid of them that way?
I already contacted tech support....you guessed it....system restore! ANYTHING but that!!
Another question, the tech person told me you should have something like 75% of your resources free....is that true?? Doesn't seem like you'd be doing anything on your computer to have that much free space.
HELP!!!!
