Help! Layout of Contemporary rooms - can we put a pack n play out of sight?

Children change as they get older, maybe your child will be better this time than the wedding trip.

Odd question, but has your 3 year old slept in the pack n play before? Mine is pretty average sized and there is no way she could sleep in the pack n play. The weight limit is 30 lbs so she couldn't sleep in there anyways.

We just got back from the Contemporary and there is no where that you could put it that is out of the way. My two just slept in the beds with us.

Yes, I know we are probably the only parents with a 3yo still in a pack n play. This is my story and I'm sticking to it :)

DS found a way to climb out of his crib one month before our October 2006 Disney trip. At the time, he was one month shy of 3, and for safety and convenience sakes, we decided just to set up the pack n play in his bedroom so there would be no huge transition to a toddler bed right before the October 2006 trip.

The amazing thing was he slept better in the pack n play than in his crib! Slept well overnight from around 8-9pm to 8am plus 3 hour naps! He never tried to get out or even stand up in the pack n play, and I think he just liked the coziness of a smaller space.

So we returned from our trip and said we would buy a toddler or twin bed for his 3rd birthday in November. I shopped and researched and decided on just the right bed. Then we decided to book the Disney trip for February 2007. Now my DH is saying "the trip is just 2 months away - why mess with success - we'll move him to the big bed when we get back after the February trip".

So here we are, the only parents on earth with a 3yo in a pack n play! But he does seem to love it!

Hey what ever works! :thumbsup2
As long as he's sleeping through the night and comfortable, who cares if it's a pack n play or not??!!!
DS never slept through the night because of medical issues so I would've let him sleep anywhere to get a good nights sleep!
Have you desided on where you will stay? :confused3

I know what you mean by "whatever works"! For the first 6 months, DS actually slept in his Aquarium Swing because it was the only place to keep him slightly upright (reflux issues) and cozy. He has always liked tight spaces.

We are currently booked in a 1BR Villa at BCV. I had considered switching to CR because I have always wanted to try a monorail resort, but this thread has pretty well convinced me that we belong in a 1BR at a DVC resort.

We have enjoyed 2 previous trips with DS - both at BCV in a 1BR Villa, and we just loved the extra room to spread out, the kitchen, the washer/dryer (both trips this was a life-saver due to emergency blow-outs  ), and the convenience to Epcot.

On our last trip, DH wanted to sleep in so I took DS to the swings built for two on the sandy beach overlooking the lake and the boardwalk resort area. It was wonderful just swinging with DS, admiring the view, and realizing how lucky I was to be at WDW!

So I guess there will be no adventurous changes for us for now. I am thinking that in a year or two, I may just need to bite the bullet and become a DVC member!
