I'd be more concerned if he were being "dirty" with trash and garbage and spoiled products. I don't really mind at all if someone has a Messy work area. I make a HUGE mess when I cook but it's not like I actually have gross garbage on the counters, it's just little chives that didn't make it off the cutting board, and spilled sauces and powders on my apron etc. So that doesn't really bother me too much, especially since he's working one specific station. Now if he were working say the veg station AND the meat station, then I might start to worry about cross contamination.

ITA. I think he is messy and that his area is not cleaned up. I don't think he is dirty. The real problem with his lack of organization is the time lost and the potential waste. If he is going to run a hot kitchen he better learn how to organize his station so that he can keep it and himself clean. It is possible to lean this, it really is not possible to teach someone who is not a team player to play nice and to lead others.

I dunno, I can't see any of these people as an executive chef. Maybe Pedrozza? Bobby just seems too slow. None of the girls impress me.

This is the most CLASSLESS bunch they've ever had... don't see a Top Chef in the bunch.

I agree. I don't know if anyone here also watches Top Chef, but Jen is like Lisa. Just get rid of her already!

I watch both Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen. Jen....Lisa.... same story different channel.

Christina seems to be able to admit that she has something to learn, Bobby and Jen are more consumed with spouting their talents than showing them and Petrozza seems sleepy. Cory steps up when she needs to.

I would not hire any of these clowns if the show accurately portrays their skills and personalities. Who would work for Jen? If Petrozza is disorganized how can he teach time management and organization to others?

Yeah, we watch both shows (Top Chef & H's Ktichen). I've always thought that the people on Top Chef seem to be of a higher caliber than the H's Kitchen folks. The TC contestants actually seem to know what they're doing. I'd go to *any* restaurant that *ANY* of the TC people 'chef" at. The H's Kitchen crew? Eh...not so much, none of them have done any favours for their 'careers' by appearing on this show

I was hoping that she would be sent out when she started backtalking Chef Ramsey. I hate her. If she wants to really run a kitchen and have people on her side, she needs to drop the 'tude and listen to other people.

I am getting on this thread way too late!! Just found it!

I have to say that I think the chick that used to work at Waffle House that was on last season (the one who Chef Ramsay is sending to culinary school) has more talent than any of the bunch this season.

Jen annoys me the most. Is it just me or does everything Jen say just sound so fake and "rehearsed"? (And I don't mean rehearsed in a good way) Her intonation of everything she says makes me want to smack her upside the head and scream "learn to talk, girl!"

Jen annoys us to no end. DW Lauri refers to her as the annoying little umpa lumpa. Not sure why as she isn't orange, but funny non the less. One thing that just grates us about her is her voice. It's so monotone and brash. Here she is talking - BRACKBRACK BRACKBRACKBRACK BRACK BRACK BRACKBRACKBRACKBRACK! I've tried to find something about her I can say that's positive. Not happening.

good point. As you can tell, I'm out of touch with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I couldn't even spell oompa loompa right! For a while there I thought she was talking about the kid that turns into a blueberry.

i have a feeling Cory is going to take this...Christina is a boo hoo crying brat...she has messed up soooooo much and just because she won a couple of challenges doesnt mean anything...did you see her tonight when she was talking about how she won AGAIN?? rolling the eyes??? I told my friend if she wins I will never go visit that restaurant...Cory is a backstabbing snake but alot of top chefs are snobs and she fits right in there...

Comparing Top Chef and H's Kitchen is like comparing Court TV to Judge Mathis!! The biggest difference? The networks they're on!!! GOTta love Fox!!!

Top Chef seems more REAL than HK, also. The people in the "diary room" in HK sound like they're READING.

Jen... maybe now I can FACE the screen now she's gone. She literally made me sick. Last night's fiasco was so inane I almost barfed. How immature do you have to be to SHOW a competitor that you're jealous of them? Does that hurt THEM or YOU?

I never saw this thread before, but DH and I are big fans of the show.

We were both so glad to see Jen gone that we actually cheered. That woman needs a huge attitude adjustment before she can even think of a high-powered career like that. I like Christine, but not sure she's ready. Cory's not all that likable but I think she might handle it. I really like Petrozza, but he's just sooo laid back. Could he handle it?

Happy dance!!! Like everyone else in America, my DH and I are estatic that Jen got the boot!!!!! It's about time. That girl was getting on my last nerve. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. Petty, backstabbing, whiney, annoying.....I could go on and on. You know, if she would have owned up to her mistakes instead of acting like she was perfect and then flaming everyone elses for theirs I probably wouldn't have hated her half as much as I do.

I love Petrozza. He has such a good heart and is above all the crap that goes on in that kitchen. Last night the guy was perfect on those steaks. If he could only learn to be a bit more organized and clean with his station I think he would have a good chance at taking this. I wonder if Chef will overlook that part or if that will be his downfall? He sure is a heck of alot more mature then Corey or Christine.

Corey is a bactstabbing witch. However, even though her and Christine can't stand each other it's nice to see that the two of them can rise above their pettiness and can work so well together in the kitchen. Jen could have learned alot from them if she was willing to get down off her pedastel and shut up for once.

Christine is good, but dang that was a boneheaded move last night. You just burnt the crap out of the Chef, he yells at you and then you go and do it again? She should lose points for stupidity.

Next weeks preview they allude to Petrozza going off on Chef. Of course with the way that they always stack the preview and commercials to show something that doesn't happen, it makes me wonder if Petrozza going off like that was just him doing the pass? I hope that is what it is, because I think going off on Chef like that could seal your fate.
