Hells Kitchen! Official Discussion Thread, Come CHAT!

I don't think Aaron is faking. He IS feeling very weak and befuddled. He said all he'd eaten that day was a single apple. He felt old and big, both of which made him slow and a liabiblity to his team.

Hint to future contestants - try to get in shape BEFORE the competition and not during!!!

I can't believe I fell asleep and missed the last half of the show!! Thank goodness I can catch up next week.

I really like Julia too! Who care if she worked at Waffle House? Many chefs started as line cooks in diners and pubs. Why not a Waffle House?

I love this show....I watched it last night and when had a storm that came thru and at the last 5 mintues we lose our power! So, I missed seeing who went home!!!

I think they're keeping Aaron there for comic relief and nothing more.

I'm rooting for Rock or Julia.

I'm dying to find out who it is they are showing in the previews that gets taken out in an ambulance and you hear someone saying "Don't you die on me" to. Wonder what happened? Hopefully that episode airs soon.

I can't believe Aaron is still there. :sad2: I think he was much more of a liability to the blue team than Eddie.

Thank goodness we DVR'ed it - I had to forward thru the de-boning challenge and also when Aaron was dripping into people's food.

I really don't see any stand-out people on this year's show. Maybe Rock? Hopefully next week Julia can really show her stuff! :woohoo:

I love Hell's Kitchen. It's one of the best reality shows out there.

I just don't understand when one person has one dish to make how they screw it up over and over.

How was it that Rock didn't nominate Aaron for elimination? What's wrong with him? Maybe he was told to keep the guy around to continue as the village idiot of the show?? :confused3

I'm bummed that Eddie went home. Maybe he didn't have the assertiveness to run a restaurant, but it would have been great to see him progress and grow. He is such a nice kid (I say kid because he was 15 years old last time I saw him!).

I don't think it is one of the chefs that go in the ambulance, Chef Ramsey said that you killed someone.

Maybe a food allergy?

I think that is why he kept Aaron too. He isn't a threat.

Rock didn't nominate Aaron because he isn't a threat to him. He's too easy to beat.

Problem with that line of thinking (I agree that it's probably why Aaron wasn't nominated) is that with the whole team vs. team concept, a weak team member like Aaron can bring the whole group down and thus, risk getting Rock nominated the next time.

EXACTLY!!

Pick off your really bad team members first so you can do will in the kitchen. Someone like Aaron has shown on both episodes that he is no help at all, basically they are short a person.

I think it's not screwing it up, but not getting it to Ramsey's standards.

FOr those who think he's mean, you should really watch his BBC shows. He's not like that at all. He IS extremely media savvy, so DH and I believe he does it partly for an American audience who likes more conflict in their reality shows and partly the editing. His Kitchen Nightmares show is a fabulous look inside the business of running a restaurant. And the F Word is highly entertaining.

I don't think he's mean, per se, but I wouldn't exactly say he's a sweet and lovable guy on his other shows either. Yes, he's more over the top on Hell's Kitchen, but he's a pretty harsh, vulgar guy on Kitchen Nightmares as well. I haven't seen the F Word, so I can't comment on that.

Yes I'm glad she's gone! And what a bunch of nasty witches-would like to call them something else. Waffle house girl who they like to look down their noses at has saved their sorry butts a few times and they still think they are better than her. If miss nanny rolls her eyes one more time I'm going to fillet her. I hope she serves something else raw so he can scream at her a ton next week, what exactly has she done so well since the show started?

I know what you mean. I could not believe that Melissa was nominating Waffle Girl because she might know her herbs! I don't know about that, but I can see she knows more about running kitchen staff than anyone else on that show! I think that Jen showed more character than the others by nominating herself and telling Chef Ramsey what she had done.

Those ladies better hope that Julia stays because I think she is the difference between winning and losing, and losing to that bunch of boys is pretty bad!

Aaron got sent to the hospital and will not be returning. Joanna got sent home, she was a disaster, served rancid crab in her risotto. Jen tried to serve spaghetti that had been thrown in the garbage, Julia caught her and would not let her serve it, Blondie was trying to serve raw scallops...Chef Ramsey caught it at the line. And the Wellingtons were over cooked....again.

The boys were bad, but they did not almost kill anyone, so they won.

The girls nominated Julia :sad2: and Joanna to go. Chef Ramsey sent Joanna home, agreeing with Julia that she should not have been nominated. Those girls are really nasty!
