I for one, am so glad Aaron is gone! I could not even watch last night when he was on. :sad2:

What a catty group to throw Julia up for elimination. She saved your behinds on the breakfast challenge!!! I hope she goes far!! :thumbsup2

Aaron got sent to the hospital and will not be returning. Joanna got sent home, she was a disaster, served rancid crab in her risotto. Jen tried to serve spaghetti that had been thrown in the garbage, Julia caught her and would not let her serve it, Blondie was trying to serve raw scallops...Chef Ramsey caught it at the line. And the Wellingtons were over cooked....again.

The boys were bad, but they did not almost kill anyone, so they won.

The girls nominated Julia :sad2: and Joanna to go. Chef Ramsey sent Joanna home, agreeing with Julia that she should not have been nominated. Those girls are really nasty!

This might be the best reality show round-up in under 200 words I've ever read!! NICE!! :thumbsup2

What an episode last night! I bet the men were kicking themselves for not nominating Aaron last time because they would be one person up on the girls right now.

And what the heck was Jen thinking? Taking spagetti out of the trash to serve to a guest? :scared1: And they say that Julia is out of her league because she is a Waffle House cook? Uhh.. at least she isn't digging through the trash to get some food on a plate. :sad2:

I was happy to see Jen have a stroke of conscious and fess up to what she did instead of letting Julia sit on the chopping block alone with Joanna. You could tell Ramsey was a bit dumbfounded over what she did.

And my biggest peeve is with the redhead and the blonde (still learning names) What the heck is their issue with Julia's background? Big frickin whoop that she is "just" a short order cook. That short order cook has gotten their rear ends out of more hot water than ANYONE on that team. So she doesn't know how to make a Creme Brulee. Show her. She seems to pick everything up very quickly. I mean, if you want to get technical, seems like a lot of them don't know how to cook fried eggs, hash browns, beef wellington, risotto, spagetti without trash stuck to it... ;)

At this point I hope Julia is the last lady standing and possibly takes the whole darn thing.

I'm still liking Julia and I knew that she would kick butt last night with the breakfast service. :cool1: Then Ramsey sent her to the guys team and she whipped them into shape and got breakfast out!!! I knew that even though the group of catty little backstabbing witches nominated her there was no way that Chef was going to send her home. He was to impressed with her performance to get rid of her. I hope she keeps up the good work. :thumbsup2

Aaron..........:rolleyes1 He kept me laughing. With his legs cramping and having the guys dress him, then with "passing out" when they had to do prep. :happytv: Oh, I'm gonna miss him.

Joanna is gone!! He kicked her out of the kitchen!!! :rotfl2: You know your neck is on the chopping block when he does that!! Might as well go back to the dorm and start packing.

Jen showed a bit of integrity with her lapse in judgement by coming forward and nominating herself and being honest with what she did. Still don't think she is that great in the kitchen, but glad that Chef kept her around for another week.

Melissa is a bit too full of herself. She hasn't done anything great yet she thinks she is the best one there. :sad2: Hope Chef knocks her down a couple of pegs.

Nanny chick. :lmao: Are we supposed to take her seriously? Come on!!

The guys are just a big ole mess. Nobody can lead, nobody can cook. WOW :confused3 I just don't understand how they can be this bad.

Here is what I don't understand. They know that Chef is going to go over each plate with a fine tooth comb and if it isn't up to his exacting standards he will not only send it back but yell at you and possibly throw it at you in the process. So, why would you send something that you know isn't up to his standards? Are you begging to get yelled out or do you really think that you are that slick that you can get something by him? :headache: Scrapping burnt crust off of the wellington? Eggs that aren't cooked correctly, raw potatoes............WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? :rolleyes1

My favorite is Julia. I just don't like anyone else except maybe Rock, and I'm not sure about him yet. Aaron was funny last night, I don't think anyone could have written him into a show:lmao:

Now I just cannot understand how any of those "pro's" would come into this kitchen and not have taken a crash course in risotto ans wellington :confused3. This menu does not change much. If this crew cannot be proactive enough to learn the key dishes in this kitchen, I would not want any of them working for me.

I think that Jen showed more character than the others by nominating herself and telling Chef Ramsey what she had done.

Yes i have to agree here that she did redeem herself a bit by stepping up.

Those ladies better hope that Julia stays because I think she is the difference between winning and losing, and losing to that bunch of boys is pretty bad

YES!! They need to give up their 'witchiness' (other word needed here) and get on with it!

I believe that all the screaming and cursing and sighing over time that Chef Ramsey does makes the contestants so nervous that they mess up simple to cook things, like eggs. Really ~ how could these chefs not know how to cook eggs properly or spaghetti? They are already nervous with the prize at the end of the show on the line and in the backs of their minds all the time.

It's entertaining, but I often wonder who in their right mind would want this kind of job? You race around a kitchen sweating and freaking out, get yelled at, have food thrown at you -- is this what's going on behind the scenes at nice restaurants?

Love, love, love the show.

One question -- I know in the previews earlier in the season we hear someone say "don't die on me." When Aaron collapsed -- did someone say it last night or is it still from an episode to come?

EXACTLY!!! If i went so much as to send in a video, I would be taking extra classes in the top things i had seen cooked! ESP. if i didn't know a thing about them!!!!

Good point. In each of the last two seasons, one thing seems to be constant -- risotto of some sort and beef wellington, as well as some sort of scallop dish. I would think before I came onto the show, I would practice those dishes to the point where I could literally do them in my sleep.

It has to be an upcoming episode -- they didn't say that last night.

I thought someone said it last night. I know they loudly called "Medic!" and Chef Ramsay rushed his words and almost sounded like he said "You've killed someone!" rather than "You could've killed someone!", (to Joanna over the rancid crabmeat she was trying to serve).

I could be wrong though. I hope I am. It's probably going to be out of context though, as in "don't die on me now" in the sense of you're almost there, don't quit now.

Especially the risotto dish ~ they make that one all the time on the show and very few chefs seem to get it right. It's a running joke in my house - "taste it ~ this risotto is crap!!" We always say whatever this risotto is, no one seems to be able to make it.

I was laughing at the bumbling idiots last night - there was Julia flipping omlettes in a pan like a pro - and the chef's couldn't even get hashbrowns done right @@

I love Julia! So what if she just works at the Waffle House? At least she's not serving rancid crab and food from the garbage. Plus, while the other girls are off in the hot tub, she wanted to go study.

I don't like the men, with the exception of maybe Rock.

It really makes me mad how they treat Julia. :sad2: Despite her lack of experience in an upscale restaurant, she has done better than most of them!

Unfortunatly, this rang a bell with me. I used to work with a cook who would drop food on the floor, and then pick it up and put it immediatly on the plate to serve.

I'm glad the rest of you mentioned the beef wellington.
Why do they have that on every menu, every week, every year?

Is that something that is really ordered a lot? I am 40 and have never had it!
I must be missing out.

But you'd think by now the chefs would realize they better know how to make that if they are going to be on Hell's Kitchen!!

Beef Wellington is a tradionally British dish, similar to filet de boeuf en croûte, made with a fillet of beef covered with pâté de foie gras, a pâté of mushrooms,or both, encased in pastry and baked. It's named for the 1st Duke Of Wellinton. It's really good. Also, because of where Chef Ramsay is from, I can see him wanting to showcase the cuisine of his country, and this is better choice than haggis. ;)
