Head count for Ottawa meet!

The planning stages are happening! Let's get a headcount so we have an idea of group size. We are looking at August 26th.

Mickey65, I'm sorry but I'm not going to be able to make it to this meet. I was hoping to finally be able to meet you, and more of our Canadian Disers, but I guess I'll have to wait until the next opportunity arises.

Maybe this fall............ somewhere!

I've just joined this forum and see that people from Ottawa will be meeting in WDW on August 26. I will be there too. Where can I get more information about this activity?

Hi Jane ! Welcome to the DIS! It's very exciting to be so close to a trip to WDW, I hope you have a great time. Unfortunately for the rest of us, our Ottawa Meet is being held in Ottawa not at WDW Maybe you'll be able to come to another one and bring your pictures from this trip.

We have the meet planned but we'd like to know what you're comfortable with.

Option #1

POOL PARTY!!!! at wenabre's home.
Everyone bring what they'd like for supper (barbeque available) and 1 munchie to share for afternoon (ie. chips & dip, vegetable platter etc)
Swim, fun, games, get to know other DISer's

Option #2
Afternoon swim at wenabre's then Diner at Mother Tucker's (in downtown Ottawa Market)

Option #3
Diner at Mother Tucker's only

We definately need to know numbers and wich option you would prefer by Sunday, August 19th !!!!!! Please feel to e-mail wenabre at wenabre2@home.com or post here. As well, any suggestion for afternoon activities would be appreciated and Pin Trading is an option too. Hope to see you all there

I was just wondering in what part of the city wenabre's home is? She certainly should not post her address on here but I just wanted to know the general area. Does she really want strangers at her house? She is brave.

Wenabre and her daughter are wonderful folks I spent most of the day there today, after just meeting for the first time!! I am not sure if she wants to post right on the post what part of the city she lives in...so I will let you PM or e-mail for the directions to her house. Are you comfortable going to her house? They are both wonderful hosts

Option #1 sounds great for us. Our kids are part fish, and would love to be able to swim. I think that it would be easier to get to know everyone in an informal atmosphere rather than in a restaurant, where you are restricted in how much you can move around. Thanks for making the very generous offer of the use of your home wenabre. I'm sure that there won't be any problems from it. I've met quite a lot of DISers, and they've all been extremely nice, friendly people.
