Hi everyone! Just stopping by to tell Channing thanks for posting all of her wonderful vacation photos! I just found them! It looks like you all (well, maybe not Z ) had a great time! I really appreciate all the info you provide here and on the FAQ thread, Chan! I'm sure many others will agree! Kelly has done an awesome job with the new FAQ thread! I think it's better than ever! Thanks, Kelly!

I'll be asking everyone's help later this year to plan something extra special for our 20th Anniversary RPC stay this Jan.

You are soo nice to say nice things about the GF Faq thread. Apparently some don't like it. Come on over there and ask away!!! I can plan a 20th anniversary trip vicariously thru YOU!!! What fun!!!!! We will make sure it's MAGICAL!!!!

I'm glad you're happy! Now you can have a little bit of the GF at home! Thanks again for picking up the pins for us while you were in WDW! I'll be happy to return the favor when we're there for Halloween & Christmas!

I just wanted to say goodbye to everyone. I won't be online for a while. I'm leaving tomorrow to spend five weeks at our country house in the Poconos. I don't have broadband yet, right now it's dial up. I'm expecting the cable guy soon. But out in the sticks, who knows when he'll get there

I'll be online, but not nearly as frequently as now. DS4 will be in day camp and DS1 and I have mommy and me swim class. I'm looking forward to bumming on the beach (by the lake, not the "real' ocean).

Have a wonderful summer! Talk to you all again in Sept!

I fell in love with the mad hatter cake on page 11 and was wondering if anyone has any information on how to go about ordering it. I was going to have my bday dinner at CRT but now I think I want to do it at the Grand Floridian as I am desperatly want a mad hatter cake for by b-day. Any info would be great and have a good night....

Isn't that an adorable cake?!?!?! Well...Linda is the cake lady at the GF. There is a number posted..I think it's private dining...407-824-2474. Just call and let them know you would like to order a cake. If that's not the correct number they will transfer you. Also...don't be stunned by the cost. Be prepared. I had a cute cake that I had apic of and they were going to charge me $250 for it! I opted out of that deal. Just an FYI...stay ontop of your order. They have been totally clueless over there lately and lost several cake orders.

If you get that cake, please post pics!!! I LOVE that one too.

Hey Chan are you still going to Disney in October?

Lesley, I still have a week booked but with the kids' schedules and dh using up most if not all his vacation days I might cancel it or try and modify it so it's a long weekend trip. OR maybe just the girls and me for a shorter stay. I don't think the week would work out for us. My son will not go again - I wouldn't want him to -and I just can't see leaving an 18 yr old home alone for that long!!!

Well...Lucy had a band concert and then we went out to dinner...got home and had to return two phone calls...then I was looking up Branson MO....and then I CHATTED with YOU!!!!

HEY..that reminds me...we are thiking of going to Branson for a long weekend the end of August. Anybody been?? V or E?? OH! E is gone to WDW!! WHOOHOO FOR HER! We'd be going with my friend and her family so I think we'd have a blast...but I am clueless about it.

That happened with the band camp too....it's finally over htough...YAY. It's 9 am here and the kids are still sleeping. Over the summer our schedules just go haywire. They are up til midnight or later!!!!

ANy opinions on Branson?? My friend went there last October and the kids loved it.

My kids & my friend's kids thought Donley's Wild West Town was BETTER THAN DISNEY WORLD. It was a riot. AT every little attraction they told the staffers...and they would LAUGH! THey'd say "We are going to have to tell the owners"....My friend and I are waiting to hear the new commercials for Donleys - it's better than Disney!

Jojo again told me yesterday that we go too much....so I am really on the fence about October now. I hate when I am the one that gets excited to go and the kids aren't. They drag me down. Baggage.

I am driving up to meet my AZ friend in Lake Geneva today!! We;re going to shop and go out to lunch.

Yes, we're very excited! We own DVC and usually stay in a 2-bedroom villa, so getting to stay RPC without the kids is a real treat! I don't have very many details yet, just the room ressie & plane tix. I did make V&A and California Grill ADRs...

Exactly! By mid-summer we are all DEAD. It's hard getting the kids back on track and waking up early by the time school starts. I can't believe there's only a few weeks left of summer vacation!

Sounds like you need to take a long weekend trip to WDW with your DH... It's amazing how fun it is without the 'baggage'! LOL! Trust me, you would have a great time!

Oh! Lake Geneva is awesome! I used to vacation there with my family twice a year when I was growing up. I could go for a cup of chowder from Popeye's right now! It's been years since I've been up there. Have a great time!
