I watched the whole video and I do not feel bad the injured man at all. His wife should be blaming his fellow gang members because THEY are the ones who created this mess. I hope they arrest ALL the bikers--they should be able to get tag numbers from the footage. They were ALL part of the problem.

A lot of them had no tags. No license. No insurance.

The article says that the SUV driver first hit a biker and then after that they chased them. Also says the video is only a portion of the altercation.

Like all things, we may never know the truth. But there is a biker with a life changing spine injury - did you see that?

So you DO read articles? These are news reports from our local, NYC news, which are more detailed than the national news feeds. Did you see THESE pictures of the SUV driver on the ground, all bloody? He feared this would happen, or even worse that he and his family would be dead.

Posted already by a previous NJ poster. But these are close-ups, in our local newspaper of the SUV driver, OUT of the car and on the ground.

In this picture, if you look at the man's left hand on the ground, you will see it in his own blood. He was probably using his hand to keep the knife from slashing his face and got cut. It also appears that two regular NYC civilians intervened and blocked an area around the SUV driver. Who knows how much worse it may have gotten? THIS is why I Love MY CITY and our people!

Police Comm. Ray Kelly downplayed the assault in the press conference, pausing to choose his words carefully, by just saying the man was assaulted, and making no mention of the SUV driver being knifed. The local news here stated it though. A knife wasn't just used for "property damage," slashing tires.

This is the blurb in the NY Post:

"Police, meanwhile, are zeroing in on two other suspects, including the one who slashed Lien, sending him to the hospital for stitches.

“They’re trying to ID two of the guys. One of them is the main guy. He’s the one that assaulted the victim. On the video, he was wearing the chrome helmet that has a logo of a bird,” a third source said late Tuesday.

A witness told police the biker in the chrome helmet pulled Lien out of the car, threw the terrified dad to the ground and stomped on his head."​

NY Daily News:

"One biker can be seen on the video ripping off his helmet and using it to bash in Lien’s driver’s-side window.

The crew pummeled Lien on the pavement in front of his wife, Rosalyn Ng, and their 2-year-old daughter, police sources said.

Lien, who also was slashed during the melee, was rushed to Columbia University Medical Center. He needed stitches to his face and chest and had two black eyes."​

Then the thugs ran off before the police got there. If they had really cared about their friend who had gotten run over and were detaining the SUV driver for the police, they would have stayed to help their friend, and to bear witness, to press charges against the SUV driver. The thugs sped off after the beating.


Here is a picture of the wife & 2 year old daughter, once the police got there. If anyone should sue, it is these two. How much will therapy cost for this child to get over seeing her father ripped from the car and pummeled & knifed?

They ride in a huge group and will operate together to slow down traffic. Next they pick out high end vehicles targeting people with families in them, the targets will usually be white or Asian. Then one of the riders will do a "brake check" and stop suddenly in front of the target vehicle causing a minor bump. In some cases they will just roll back into their target vehicle. They will then mob the vehicle demanding money and or begin attacking the person inside. It is their practice to also slash the tires to prevent the vehicle from escaping. Truckers are well aware of them and are advised not to stop. You can clearly see in the video how they are well practiced in this style of attack. The police in NY have backed off them after an officer ran one down using his vehicle a few months back. The video was all over the net so I advise you to check it out. These "bikers" ride dirt bikes and sport bikes very few of which are street legal and even fewer have plates. They run red lights, stop signs, and have no regard for the law. If you are ever in this situation do not stop, immediately call the police and do whatever you have to to keep them from boxing you in. NEVER leave the scene of an accident if you are not under direct threat!!! Only run if you have no other choice, and again immediately call the police. Not at all, as I said in an earlier post I don't think feel that the driver of the SUV should face charges. That doesn't mean he didn't overreact. If I was in the bikers situation and knew we had no intentions of harming the driver(I've watched the video and not a single one of us know what was going on because you can't see it) and I watched my friend being run over like that I would have probably reacted same way. On top of that it's sad to see so many grown adults just assume all things they read on the internet are real. Really we are now taking Facebook posts as fact? People making there own facts like the previous times this "gang of thugs" has just randomly beaten people. Or making this guy out to be a thug, from what I can tell he is an idiot with a fairly minor drug offense. I have seen no evidence anywhere of violent crime, dealing drugs or any other major crimes yet he is undoubtably a thug. My sister is a suburban wife and mother that has caused 8 accidents in 10 years. She a reckless driver which is what he appears to be, is she a thug as well?

OMG!...Really?....You would think it's totally reasonable to surround a vehicle like that, because you know you had "no intention of harming them"...WTH were you doing then...WTH were your intentions? Then in that circumstance of you having "no intention if harming anyone" you stop and block the vehicle, driver of vehicle leaves to escape your group of "non-intending to harm anyone" morons and runs over one of your friends, your answer is to chase down this driver, smash his car windows, drag him out of his vehicle, beat him, and slash him with a knife. That's what you would have done? Scary. That biker got exactly what he deserved...it's just too bad the others will still go on to create this kind of violence and chaos in the future.

The evidence suggests they weren't stopping them at all, they were more likely trying to slow them down so the other bikes could get ahead of them and have open highway to do tricks. Also if he got off the highway because they slashed his tires why didn't he get off till the second time he came to a stop? Could it be that they didn't slash his tires until after he ran over their friend and left the scene of an accident which is what they claim?

Unfortunately, from the first second I heard this story I feared that the bikers chose to mess with this guy because he was Asian. I never want to be that person that pulls the race card, but something about it seemed so intentional to me. I don't know if this post is true, but if it is it would make sense that the bikers would chose a target that is assumed less likely to fight back and more likely to have money, even if that is a racist and stereotypical assumption to make.

You can't be serious?! How can you possibly think they had no intentions of harming the driver of the SUV? He took off, running over the motorcyclist because they were trying to break his window, were slashing his tires and caused the original accident! As for making up facts of previous incidents - they showed another video from last year where they did the same thing, except that driver didn't take off and they still beat him.

And no, I don't believe everything I read on the internet or see/hear on the news, but I certainly believe it more than somebody making up possible scenarios that could have happened, especially somebody who wasn't in the heat of it and didn't feel like their life or the lives of their family were threatened.

And yes, purposely, repeatedly, intimidating people with your group of friends, does make one a thug, whether on a bike or not.

He didn't purposely run over anybody. He was trying to get out of there and had somebody in his way. And yes, keeping my children safe would have trumped anything else in this situation.
