A family boo hooing all over the news that their family member was " viciously attacked" by an SUV driver and demanding charges be filed. But when I watched the video, I see a pack of idiots taking over the road, terrorizing drivers, and provoking the " attack" . They gave the guy a brake job, sashed his tires and smashed his windows and he took off to get away. They later dragged him from the SUV and beat him in front of his wife and 2 year old. I hope the motorcyclists all get arrested. Their fault!

I saw this on the news yesterday. Completely wrong to just drive over that bike...BUT I honestly don't know what I would have done in that t situation either. Police said that they had over 200 calls of complaint with this group. I really hope they charge all the bikers

If you YouTube this biker group you can see numerous videos of them terrorizing drivers. If they started smashing my car and mobbing me, I'd have run their butts over. And when they tried to pull me out f the car I'd have hit reverse. Too bad the driver did not have a gun to defend himself and his family.

The article says that the SUV driver first hit a biker and then after that they chased them. Also says the video is only a portion of the altercation.

Like all things, we may never know the truth. But there is a biker with a life changing spine injury - did you see that?

It's all over our news. If I was being attacked while my kids were in the car (or even alone!), I'd have no problem slamming on the accelerator - self defense.

So you would respond to property damage with physical assault?

Watch the video. The motorcycle got bumped after giving the SUV a brake job. He pulled in front of the SUV and slammed his brakes on, purposely. And as for the injury, when you play with fire, you might get burned. While tragic, he can thank his fellow gang members.

They mobbed his car, had knives and were smashing his car and trying to open the door. You bet your bottom dollar I'd have gotten my family out of there.

I think the guy on the bike who stopped short and started this whole thing turned himself into the police...seems like he knew he did wrong.

The whole thing is crazy and frightening.

Can't watch vids.

But wow, I love that damaging a car justifies possible death. I will have to remember that here, with all the bad drivers in FL ;)

It's my understanding that the group of bikes surrounded the SUV. I don't know about y'all but if I was surrounded by a group of bikers I certainly would not think they were up to good deeds and I would have done exactly what that guy did, get myself and my family the heck out of there.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with the SUV drivers actions and I'm really sickened by the wife of the motorcyclist crying, whining and boohooing oh my poor "innocent victim" husband. Um, if he was part of that group that surrounded the SUV he certainly is not some innocent bystander and if he was so innocent how come he was in front of the SUV where he got run over in the first place?

I hope they get the timeline straightened out on this. Seems very murky re: what begat what.

Moral of the story: Stay out of NYC. Yikes! :furious:

Alright - nothing good can come of this thread. I am out.

One injured motorcyclist brought the injury on himself by cutting off the SUV and slamming on his brakes so no sympathy there. The critically injured man, well sorry but you were a participant & you suffered for your choice. Again no sympathy. If I was in that situation, I sure as hell would have done whatever I had to up to & including running over any thug in my path.

whatever the bikers did until the point of the bump was being jerks, can't use any other words on this forum. But to take it to the level that he did by running over someone else.... that is just too much. It doesn't say if the SUV driver called the police or anything when it happens. The wife could have been calling as the bump occurred and the police could have been there. It's all so stupid and one innocent guy pays.

This was so far beyond "property damage". They were mobbing him and had knives. They clearly had intent to harm him. I find it odd when people make comments opposing something without even watching the video that SHOWS it happening. If you watched it, you might have a better perspective.

The video was posted by a motorcycle driver. They edited out the part where they savagely pulled him from the car and beat him. Also, watch their other videos. This is not the first time by far that they have attacked other drivers who DARE get near their little gang. They are troublemakers out looking for trouble.

The suv called 911, it took over 11 minutes for them to respond. He was trapped, surrounded, and had to do what he had to do to get away.

There is no "brakes" on a bike. It could have ended there with the cops coming since the wife obviously had time to call since she wasn't driving. you have a choice to not run over people. he had the sympathy to get off his bike and help his friend get up, didn't deserve to be run over. I hope the SUV driver gets charged with attempted manslaughter since that is what it was.

He may have very well been helping his friend whom had just been hit by the SUV and was laying in front of the vehicle injured.
