Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

I never put it together that the horrible ringing in my ears to the vaccine. I normally have ringing in my ears but nothing that bothers me, as long as there is other noise around. It has been bad for the last 2 weeks. I had my first shot on Feb 24th. It is getting back to normal now. I was starting to get worried about it.
I'm glad to hear it's returning to normal. Mine did, too. Covid can cause or worsen tinnitus, so I'm glad to be vaccinated against it.

My husband is a teacher in Ohio and is scheduled to get his second Pfizer dose this afternoon. He had a mild case COVID in late January (as in mild symptoms...but I think he really didn't feel 100% recovered until the last 2 weeks or so) and didn't have any reaction to the first dose of Pfizer, so I'm curious to see what happens today/tomorrow.

EDIT: He's done! 🥳

Brevard. Ours go quicker than most counties but I still saw availability at around 8:30 am and they opened them up at 7 this morning. I just wish they’d expand and let everyone get it already. I’ve noticed the panhandle counties take forever to fill up

In the Tallahassee area they've had a decrease in demand. Some clinics had to cancel appointments and reschedule people because of lack of demand. They really should just open it up to more people

Our 21 year old nephew put his name on a Publix list in the Pensacola area. They called him one evening and he got his shot.

I guess no one else on the list came in.

Yes they need to start opening it up to everyone honestly! I saw today we went down to 60+ but I don’t think that’ll make much difference. I think the governor said after we get down to 55+ he plans to open to everyone

Did he have to show any proof of working in an essential position? I’ve seen so many open appointments I’ve considered booking one honestly but didn’t want to show up and be turned away

It's amazing to me, when I'm still 20K on a waitlist in 1b, that so many areas can't fill their demand...they might need to readjust the state by state sends to give it to the states getting high vaccination rates vs low ones...if I was 65, I'd be golden...or a teacher...b/c all the federal program pharmacies will vaccinate them separate from the county list (by individual sign up), but those pharmacies won't add the pre-existing under 64's...sigh...double sigh:)...

Florida opened 60+ today. Last week I was sent two different links for signups for last week for 60+. I was turned away both places last week. Got mine today. So some places apparently were confused by the dates, changed their signups and refused to honor them.

I'm still trying to secure spots for my folks, 70 & 72. It's getting frustrating.

So if I understand correctly, he physically walked into a Publix and they had a list he could sign up on, and if they had a vaccine they would (in this case did) call him to come get it if he still wanted it?

Yes, that's how it worked for him. It was late in the evening before closing. They called and told him that if he could get there within the hour, he could get a shot. He did and got vaccinated.

Between myself, my mom and a friend getting our second dose we've all been with little side effects. My mom got her second Moderna Friday. Had some brain fog Sunday and feverish at night she's been very mild.

My dad's gf in SC, her dr okayed her for the shot where she originally wasn't going to due to a shellfish allergy. She got it early last week. She did end up with a mild reaction hours later with some puffiness but Benadryl seemed to be enough. My dad keeps getting his rescheduled for some odd reason but his dr is starting to get setup

I wonder what they would do to someone who signs up for an appointment that doesn’t fit the eligibility
