For the past week I have been helping my brother and SIL get ready to put thier house on the market doing all sorts of odd jobs and deep cleaning. Well yesterday I worked on sprucing up the front entryway to the house and the top part of the driveway. They have a large silver maple tree that had left so many of those red buds everywhere that I decided I would just use thier shop vac to suck it all up. Let me tell you vacuuming the driveway is addicting! I soon found myself vacuuming the crack in front of thier steps, sucking cobwebs down, I even vacuumed the edging along the driveway! I think the nieghbors thought I was crazy quite a few of them had puzzled looks on thier faces as they drove by the house and one girl on her way home from school even watched me for a minute. Is this a common thing? Do any other disers vacuum thier driveways? If you haven't given it a try you might like it! It was exciting to suck up all sorts of things and hear them make thier way through the hose on the vacuum into the vacuum.

It really is the little things in life that bring us the most pleasure :rotfl: .

:rotfl: No I never have. But, I suppose if I had a shop-vac I would consider it. No way would I take my Dyson out there. We have sweet gum trees (i think that' the name) and it leaves these brown prickly balls all over. I would LOVE to be able to vacuum them up. Maybe I'll look into it.

I have done this too! But I didn't mean to, it just sort of happened. I started vacuuming out the garage, then I gravitated to all the cobwebs, then the crack where the garage door is, and the next thing I know I'm doing all the cracks in the walk and everything near the front door! It's an exhilirating feeling! I pressure wash my driveway now from time to time, that's addicting too, cause then you start doing the exterior of the house, then the sidewalk....then the neighbors sidewalk... :rotfl:

Sure! I have a concrete driveway and stuff gets into the cracks a lot and DH will forget to sweep up the sawdust when he uses the table saw in the driveway. Instead of sweeping it up, I'll just take the shop vac to it

No I haven't. But people in this town do have a thing about WATERING their driveways.

No, but my OCD neighbor vacuums her lawn 2-3 times a week...for real.

LOL that is how it kinda happend to me! I was hoovering the frontdoor step from inside and then before I knew it I had the shopvac out and I was going crazy.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who has done this (I'm a multiple offender too I always suck up a few things on the driveway at home after vacumming out the car!

FINFAN I don't think I could go as far as vacuuming the lawn, but I did attempt to vacuum the flower beds.

On my college graduation day last May, we had a party at my townhouse there. In the parking lot (the complex was basically two "buildings" of townhouses that were an "L" shape facing each other that made a parking lot in between) some glass had been broken a few weeks before. It was not in our way in anyway. My grandmother had me out there in my strapless dress and kitten heels sweeping the parking lot on my graduation day.

My DS5 has. :rotfl: He loves when DH plugs the shop vac in for him. It keeps him occupied for a while and we get a nice clean driveway. Who would have ever thought? :teeth:

No I don't vacuum I use the leaf blower

The other day I saw my neighbor vacuuming her front yard (complete grass) If I didn't see it myself, I wouldn't have believed it. She was using one of those shop-vac's.
