Yes...from a revered DISBoard member who mistook me for someone else and then, when I reported it to the mods I discovered that it didn't matter because of who this person was. It was a fabulous welcome to the DIS

The anonymity factor that these boards allow makes many people brave. I got an unkind PM over a remark I made about a resort pool. Can you believe that someone actually found a generic remark about a swimming pool OFFENSIVE?? And, to top it off, that person took the time to PM me over it.

I just laughed. People amaze me.

And I say surprisingly because I have a habit of jumping right into scraps or defending unpopular opinions.

I haven't ever sent a pm, nasty or nice, because my thinking is that if I can't say it on the thread, then don't say it.

The downside of that is, of course, that I probably get more than my share of posts causing that thread to be closed

Almost every pm I've gotten has been supportive/friendly .... but I did get one that wasn't very nice. I'm not sure it was as bad as "nasty" though. It mostly made me do this
