Have anyone done the "Mickey Grand Welcome from disney Florist?

I had this done for our DD4 last Sept-it is soooo worth it! They make it seem as if Mickey & Minnie decorated the room just for her! You get alot of stuff that we still use. I don't have any pics cause after a day at the park my camera battery was dead & I only had a disposable right then & there to use.

I'm going to do it myself lol. The package looks so neat but way to much $$ for our budget. I'd love to see pictures though!

I'm thinking about this too and would love to hear from someone who's ordered it.

Yes, got it when we were there in Feb. I'll have to look at uploading the pics I took of it and put them up so you can see.

I think it was worth it for the look on my DD 4 face alone. She saw the banner in the window and looked in the window and yelled..."Santa was here!". We laughed and said that we think it was probably Mickey who come by. :goodvibes

It is a bit pricey, but you can't put a price on those faces. :)

I remember the first time my ds walked into MK. His reaction alone was enough to justify any amount of money.

This year we're taking our dd for the first time and hope that her experience is the same. pixiedust:

Everything unpacked and set up on our table. The blanket (on the right chair) is not the same as what is shown in the website. It's an ok blanket, but the one on the web looks MUCH nicer. (photo on the florist website was different when we ordered)

The balloon bouquet, which wasn't quite what I expected. I thought it was going to be a number of mickey head balloons or something along those lines. (Again, photo on the florist website was different when we ordered)

Tink's Shadow (make sure you shut that off or the batteries die after about 48 hours, there's a off 'switch' on the back.

Window banner, now hanging up in my daughters room.

I completely agree, the reaction is PRICELESS. I'm glad we got it on video too. :)

Something like this will be on our to do again list when we go back in a few years. I won't do the large one again (because it's been done. :)) We'd probably surprise her with one of the little ones next time though.

Thank you so much. Ok, that clinches it, we are getting one. I did ask her to substitute the canvas bag that they give the guest at AKL for the balloon, i would prefer to get one of the mickey head ones at MK. I had them personalize the bag with our family name. She said no problem. She said it is a nice blanket and it would be personalized as would the picture, signature in autograph book and tag on the box. After seeing all the stuff you get, I am so excited about it. the family will be so surprised, they are doing it the first evening while we are at dinner in Epcot.

We got one of the mickey head balloons in a balloon balloons at DHS. :) That thing lasted 6 WEEKS before it needed to get...uh...cut to be thrown away. That must be why the parks charge $10 for them. :lmao: The balloon that came with the package and the other mylar we got in the parks we had to cut down (but brought home) since we didn't have room in the car for the drive home for 3 huge balloons.

I just ordered one today! We are taking another couple and their daughter for their first ever trip to WDW so I wanted to do something a little extra to welcome them. We have 3 kids in total so I added an additional plush, substituted the autograph book for another framed, signed picture, added a third picture and added three Mickey ear balloons. I can't wait to see the reactions! :yay:

Thanks for posting the pictures!

I'm thinking of getting one of the kid ones for DD. How does it work when you don't know what room you'll be in?

is there a link for this? I'm celebrating DD's sweet 16 in June at the Poly and I'd like the room to have some surprises in it when we arrive! :)

Can somebody give me an estimate of cost. This is TOOOOOO cute. I think even my teenagers would LOVE this when we check into the Poly in August. Thanks for any info!

The Disney Florist will get your room number from the hotel after you check-in. They take the name the reservation is under when you book the arrangement. They also offer three different delivery times. I booked the late time so when we get back from watching the parade and fireworks at the MK, the kids will discover Mickey has made a visit to the room!

The OP has a link in their thread. Or you can Google Disney Florist.

I think that Mickey might just have to make a visit to our room. We have been with DS twice already but its his first time being a big brother and its his little sister's first time visiting. Its a bit steep, but Ill just add it to the budget I guess :goodvibes

Since we were at Disney last year and going back again this year, my 2 teenage daughters think that we should have Mickey visit our room on our first day for their grandmother who is coming with us this year. She has not been to Disney in over 20 years and they are SO EXCITED that she is coming with us this year. There are definitely some more adult-themed packages if you explore all the choices on the Disney Floral website so I think this just might have to happen for my mother from my girls.

They will not set it up until you have already checked into your room in case you change it. When I booked, i was given several different 2 hour windows that i could have them set up the surprise. So, we are scheduled to arrive about 3pm and then have 6pm ADR in Epcot so I picked the 6-8pm slot for set up. When we get back from dinner, it will be waiting for us. Hope it helps.
