Have anyone done the "Mickey Grand Welcome from disney Florist?

Does anyone know if you can only order only the mickey shaped rice krispy treats that is shown in the photo on this thread? And what is the price. I would love to order that, with just a card from Mickey welcoming our family..

I would call the Disney Florist. I bet they can "create" just about anything you want. Like I said in my post above, I am going to have Mickey visit our room for my mother from my teenage daughters. My mother has not been to Disney in 20 years and they are so excited for her to be going with us. If you search on the Disney Floral Website (the link is below) there are all kinds of different arrangements and packages for all occasions.

I wanted to do this last year...but we did too many other special things. Maybe this year we'll get this.

I called Disney Florist today and asked if I coulf order the rice krispy basket/bouquet and was told no, it only comes in the in room celebration package. What a bummer!!

That stinks! I would have thought they would do it because Disney is usually so great about going above and beyond making their guests happy! :confused3

wow - that's amazing.

i may have to think about doing it in the future. too much for our trip in july but maybe our next trip

We did this and it was great! I'm going to second the poster about the blanket though. I would have opted out of receiving the blanket had I known what it looked like. The one on the website is adorable but the one we received - not so much.:rolleyes1 I will say, though, that the other gifts in the package were terrific (although those seem to change as well) and we added individual photos and other small items for each of our children. This is one of the things that Disney does really well and it definitely added to the magic for our kids. Our youngest daughter believed 100% that Mickey and Minnie came to our room to welcome us!

PS. If it isn't in your budget to do this I think it's totally recreate-able if you have little ones. You can scan Mickey "footprints" to put on the floor and bring Disney themed confetti to sprinkle around the room (or "pixie" dust). Pick up a few of the Mickey head crispy treats from quick service and throw in a stuffed Mickey or a Princess pillow, add a banner, and your own "autographed" photo of Mickey, Minnie, or a princess in a cute frame and you are good to go!! :goodvibes

Cheap me would make the footprints (I own a Cricut and the Mickey & Friends cartridge) and bring along some frosting and a baggie and just decorate the rice crispy treats myself. Since I go on a dining plan, I never can use all those snacks anyways. :rotfl:

You can also get Memories By Betsy to do a basket. We've used her twice and she's so GREAT!!! You can get something individual for each person in your travel party/family and she'll put it in a cute basket and when you check in you can ask them to deliver it to your room. I asked at check in to have it delivered and then we went down to the food court to get our drink mugs...while we were gone they delivered it and the kids LOVED it. I have 5 kids and I usually get them 2-3 things each put in the basket and keep it well under that 300.00 range that the florist basket is. That's including a thing or two for me and my husband too (playing cards, Disney park music CD, refillable mugs if you're not on the QSDP...etc).

The last time I had her make one I included things like the monorail resort hotwheel bus, an arcade card, stuffed Mickey and Minnie in their MNSSHP outfits, Mickey hands, Epcot Passport kits, playing cards, lanyards and quite a few other things. It's all very individual....but you can see examples on her site: http://www.memoriesbybetsy.com/Memories_by_Betsy/Welcome.html

If anybody is staying at the Yacht or Beach Clubs, the merchandise managers there will make up a basket for you with anything you choose to put in it. You can wait until you get there or call and have it done before you get there - give them your credit card. They have food, rice krispie treats, etc. or will fill it with toys or clothes ... anything they have in their two shops. And for an adult woman, they have the Disney Dooney bags ... I love mine. Anyway, they do unbelievable work and it's so much cheaper than going with the Florist. However, you need to be there at the Yacht or Beach obviously. I had them make one up for my daughter's birthday and filled it with coffee mugs, photo albums, some pins she likes, etc. and she loved it and it was very very reasonable ... the cost of each item in the store and then a real small handling fee for the basket.

You need to check out the DISigns board the DIS there is a lady JTANDDOLLY is her name she recreated all of the things so all you have to do is print it off and you can make your own. She did it in the original Mickey Welcome, Princess and Tinkerbell. Really great stuff. I used it for my Mom and my son for our last trip...

She has birthday, anniversary, bon voyage, in all colors...the balloons, the footprints...etc...

So, I did this for my two sons and a friend who came along with us on our trip starting Memorial Day weekend. I would love to share pictures with you but I can't. The kids loved the ''Grand Welcome" to the point of it being like Christmas morning. :lmao:

the Disney Florist did a wonderful job and were so accomodating. I arranged it for the night we arrived and to be delivered between 7:00 - 9:00 pm figuring we would be at the parade. However, Mother Nature threw a lot of rain our way that day. So, while we were waiting for our table for dinner, I called the florist and they were able to move us to the front of the 7:00 - 9:00 time frame. When we arrived to the room, we found a large felt banner hanging over the door that said SURPRISE!

When we entered the room, the kids tore into the box and gifts faster than I could take pictures. The box is a beautiful big red box with a yellow lid and black fabric ribbon. On top of the box was a note written to our family, using our family name from Mickey himself! With the box was a bouquet of balloons (I added 3 Mickey shaped balloons to the arrangement) and a stuffed Mickey and Minnie sitting besides it. Inside the box was a pair of Mickey gloves for wearing and a Hidden Mickey book. Elsewhere in the room was a Mickey popcorn tin with a bouquet of Mickey ear rice krispy treats arranged in it. Each treat had a letter that spelled out W-E-L-C-O-M-E. The ears were dipped in chocolate and had sprinkles. (Sprinkles are always a hit! :rotfl:) Inside that popcorn tin, there were four other small popcorn tins for future use. On the dresser by the TV were the picture frames complete with personalized, autograph pictures of the Fab 5! Hanging on the window was a triangle shaped felt banner that said 'Welcome'. Hiding on the microwave was a Tinkerbell shadow with a small light that changes colors.

It was a huge hit and I am very glad I did it. Thank you Disney Florist!

how much did all that cost you - if you don't mind saying.

do you have the website you went to?

The price looks steep. But really for what you get and the service, I don't see it as unreasonable at all.
The blanket in the DFlorist photo looks the same as what a pp showed. Although I will say in the DFlorist photo, I would not have known the red/blue/white whatever laying on the right is a blanket. My first thought though on the blanket was the comforter on the bed that has Mickey heads on it.
And the DFlorist photo shows the exact balloon the pp had too.
I have that vase that is holding the Mickey Welcome treats, and that is a large vase.
Between the plushes, food, and all the doo dads, I don't think that is a bad price.
Think of the line time saved by already having the autograph of the big cheese!

My DH also gave me one b-day "Mickey Takes the Cake". OMG, that was so nice.

Anything I have received or gifted from DFlorist has always been top notch. :thumbsup2

I definitely want to do one of these baskets, just don't know what will fit in the budget this far out. And since I have twins, I think I want to do something for each of them, or one big one, that has something for each of them in it!

Real cute. I may do this next time, it's not really in the budget right now. But it seems to be well worth the money. Great idea and I will keep this in the back of my head for when we go back, after next week!! :yay:

I ordered this for my kiddos for after our first day in the MK. I also ordered a Tiffany Style braclet and single rose to thank my sister for comming with us to the world on short notice. I hope when DH and I go in August to celebrate our Birthdays to do the Huge Mickey's Birthday in room celebration!

I called the Disney Florist yesterday to change my in room celebration to gift baskets for the kids but in the end the WONDERFUL CM help me change the celebration to have something special for both kids. :cool1: My DS13 would not have wanted the big Mickey so she suggested changing to a Mickey Mouse head cover for his golf club (even substitute) and DD would get the Minnie. I also added 2 sleeves of Disney golf balls to DH could get something too. FYI, the blanket is a fleece blanket that is personalized with our family name, i substituted the Balloon for the tote bag that families at AKL would get, I want one of the MM balloons that light up at the parks. They have a lot of extra things that they can add that are not on the Disney florist website. The CM at the Beach Club said that all the baskets and in room celebrations i know it is a lot of money but this is something special for my family that I don't have to worry about putting together. I know about it and it is still great.

Teena, THANK YOU so much for this tip. I am going to have to give them a call closer to my trip. I was trying to work with the Disney florist a while back to see how they could modify out the food items, but was a bit unsettled with their solutions (my son doesn't eat/has a feeding tube). I was actually thinking about ordering things from Disney.com, assembling it here, shipping to the concierge to hold for us - then having it set in the room. Maybe I'll just let the resort shop do something for us and save myself the hassle.

I will have to check out her handy work. I'd love to see if she has a birthday banner.
