... you may know already, but this film opens on Friday Feb 13th! LOL - the date was chosen well. A Friday 13th and half-term at the same time!

This is a must for us - anyone else?

It was all right Shirley. Not as good as I expected. The sets were tremendous and the ride tie ins were funny. Of course, just looking Eddie Murphy makes me laugh.

Seen it already ~ Don't think I could again.

The sets looked good in MGM Studios - I think we might make a trip to the movies next weekend for this one :)

Prior to 'pistols at dawn' can I just say that we saw the set of the Haunted Mansion at MGM and had the talk about the film and we three are really looking forward to seeing it - though have to say Shirley didn't realise it was opening on Friday 13th!!

This film looks fantastic! I think it's great to adapt some of the more original attractions into flims. Pirates of the Carribean was superb. Not sure if we will be watching it on Friday 13th though ;)

I guess not, but does anybody know if the sets will still be there in April? Thanks!

Richard.

We'll be off to see it during half term. We've got three sets of free cinema tickets courtesy of one of our local radio stations, so have been saving them up for when DH can get time off.

We shall be seeing three of the following on my wish list:

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Love Actually
Haunted Mansion
Scary Movie 3 (without DD!!)
and there's another couple I can't remember at the moment.

As you can see, I don't get out a lot:crazy:

i thought it was quite good!! Am i imagining things or is one of the singing heads Walt Disney's head???

Well, I'm taking myself off to the movies in a while - no kids and nothing better to do on a Friday late afternoon! Just deciding whether I'm brave enough to 'do' Haunted Mansion on my own on Friday 13th!!!

Mike - Hmmm, Couldn't face putting a First Division Team in my sig so have bowed to local pressure! SuperKev seems to be doing well down here and scoring goals but he's not grown any taller in the Hampshire air!! :)

Astrid

Hi Annette - the singing head which resembles Walt Disney is in fact Thurl Ravenscroft an actor - he was the voice of Tony the Tiger in the Frosties ad.
Each of the marble busts were given names and his is "Uncle Theodore."
I understand, although I haven't seen the movie, that the filmmakers wanted to include this character.

In the end I took myself off to see 'Somethings Got to Give' - What a fantastic film and sooo funny :hyper: It's with Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, Keanu Reeves and Frances McCormand - If you fancy watching a funny, feel good film I'd thoroughly recommend it.

So, now it looks like Haunted Mansion will be seen over half term (along with School of Rock!) Shame our local Odeon don't do season tickets!! :teeth:

Wow Shirley - How on earth did you managed to find out all that about the 'heads' - I'm impressed!
