Has the Mexico restaurant gotten better?

When we went to WDW back in the 90's the San Angel Inn restaurant was great. We went last in 2007 and it was lousy. Has anyone had a recent experience there? Just wondering if it got better again in the last 4 years.

We had been there twice for lunch and loved it...we have ressies to go again in 3 weeks and we are really looking forward to it. I have read some great reviews recently

That's great. I would appreciate any further reviews. The atmosphere in there is great, i was bummed to see the quality take a nose dive. I hope it stays good.

I have found it to be hit or miss. Lately I have been hearing some really
good reviews, so think I might give it another try. Years ago it was great.
Now that they have another place to sit down for Mexican food I would
think that they will step it up.....

We tried it again last September and loved it so much we're returning this September. Service was good and food was great. We stopped a La Cava first, and then took our Margaritas with us over to San Angel...YUMMY!!!

On our trip in this past November, we decided to head back to San Angel, too. Unlike you, we had a great experience there on our first visit in 2006, so we had no reason to doubt our decision.

We found it to be every bit as good as it was the first time around, if not better. They seem to be making their own chips and salsa now, which is nice, and the food seems to be focusing more on fresh ingredients.

The margaritas have definitely received an upgrade in quality since the advent of La Cava. I think it's worth another go, if you're seriously considering it. It might surprise you.

Had dinner there on NYE and food and service were both great. We also found it disappointing a few times, but definitely was excellent this trip
