DH, DD3 and I are going to WDW for a week in February. Valentine's Day we have dinner reservations at Le Cellier. Initially we were going to take DD but the other night started talking about having a nice dinner a diex :cloud9: and leaving DD with a sitter at the hotel (Poly). As I recall Birnbaum's mentions 2 services (my Birnbaum's is at the office at the moment) that come to WDW hotels. Has anyone used either of them and if so, what were your impressions? Thanks.

I would also like to know. I am going to be going in Feb. also. I thought it might be nice for Dh and I to have a little alone time. :sunny:

We've used Fairy Godmothers about a half-dozen times and been quite pleased. Lots of people use Kids Nite Out, too, and have been quite pleased.

If you do a search, you'll find lots of threads on these two services.

If you have specific questions, I can try to answer...

This past summer we used Kids Nite Out and we were very happy! We had Sam and she was wonderful with our DS and 2 neices. They had a great time as well. We were staying at BWV and had dinner at Flying Fish and went to Jellyrolls. While we were eating, we saw them at Seashore Sweets having ice cream. :)

We used Fairy Godmothers in September and it was a great experience. Make the reservation a few months in advance. We had 3 girls (ages 5 , 5, 6) (2 families) and they were all asleep when we got home!! Not an easy feat. We would not hesitate to use them again.

And will use them again in late Feb/early March.

I particularly liked them as the sitter they provided had extensive experience with special needs kids (we have two with autism.) In fact, she was a former special ed teacher.

In doing research for an upcoming book, I called Kids Night Out last spring regarding their policy of care for special needs kids, and they too, with notice, will provide someone with specific experience in that area. However, they are somewhat more expensive, particularly for larger families like our (four kids), but were willing to provide two sitters should we feel it necessary.

You dont state your dd's age but if she is 4 or over you might also consider one of the kid clubs. We used the SandCastle club twice this past Oct and the kids had a good time there. They have video games, movies and lots of toys. The hours are 4:30 pm til midnight and you can walk to Epcot from the Beach Club.
