has a SNL skit ever "ruined" anything for you??? LOL!

Thanks to the Roxbury guys, I can't listen to "What is Love" with a straight face anymore. :sad2:

Mine goes way back too...

Whenever I have to make copies of something, I always think in my mind "making copies..." with the Richmeister, and I'll start saying it out loud.

My kids look at me like I'm crazy when I do that:rotfl:

two that people have already mentioned;

making copies - can't go near a copier...

GWB "workin' hard" that one gets a ton of use around here....in many ways!!!

I loved Debbie Downer! Especially the "character Breakfast at WDW" skit with Lindsey Lohan. Debbie Downer is exactly like my MIL- she can take any subject or situation and turn it into a downer.

I also like many of the commercial parodies, like the "Oops, I Crapped My Pants" adult diapers and "Mom Jeans" by JCPenney.

I loved Chris Farley- his Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker skit- "I live in a VAN down by the RIVER!!!" and the hilarious Chippendale's audition skit with Patrick Swayze.

Phil Hartman (rest his soul)....He had the best Ronald Reagan skit...it was along the lines of, "What if Reagan really was the mastermind in charge" The part I rememeber is Dana Carvey playing Jimmy Stewart visiting him and Ron getting irritated and booting from his office. The last words you hear are Jimmy saying "you've changed Dutch you've changed".

Also Phil playing Clinton and going to McDonalds on his jog so he can meet the people. He manages to eat someones Big Mac while explaining warlords and relief efforts in Somalia. Best quote "Oh there's going to be a whole lotta things we don't tell Mrs. Clinton" (after his secret service says Hil doesn't want him going to McDonalds)

No, Debbie Downer is MY MIL!

Me too... I used to really dislike him, but for me all it took was

"Bring it on down to Omletteville" and I was converted to a fan.

Anyone who can take himself, his image and his own work so lightly and with such good humor is okay in my book.

I thought he was singing "Givin' it up for Homelessville" (because he was collecting money for a homeless shelter/soup kitchen.)

There are two skits
One is for Omletteville "Bring it on to Omletteville" dressed as eggs
One is for homelessville "Give it on up to Homelessville" dresses as cup of soup

Nobody in my family can see anyone in a red hooded sweatshirt without singing the Adam Sandler song

I love you sweeeeatshirt
red hooded
sweeeeatshirt
dip dip dip
sweeeeatshirt
shama lama ding dong
sweeeeatshirt.

Paul McCartney was the Musical guest on that show and he sang one of the "dip dip dips"

Not that I was ever a huge fan of theirs, but I can't look at either Donny or Marie Osmond without thinking of them making out with each other during the Gumby Christmas special, with Gumby exclaiming, "Donnie and MARIE!" in a shocked voice. :rotfl:

Also, whenever I used to see Bob Dole on TV, I'd immediately think of SNL's version of his debates against George Bush, where he first referred to him as "mah good friend, George Bush," and after things got heated, said, "George, I'm gonna stick this pen right in your neck!" My dad and brother and I still say the latter to each other all the time.

Rob Lowe impersonating Stone Philips from Dateline. T r a m p o l i n e, a kid's toy or a backyard death trap. It was sort of funny at the time, but later when we saw Stone Philips we couldn't believe how dead on Rob Lowe was. Every time we saw Stone Philips from the time on we would all start our trampoline impression.
My other fav is Matthew McConaughey making fun of his own arrest for his nude-marijuana smoking-bongo playing night. I can't see him in a movie without thinking of that skit.
