Sweaty Meatballs is not right--- there were talking about Christmas cookies aka rum balls, not actual meatballs.

I no longer can take German Bodybuilders seriously!
not that I did before

My most recent favorite was the "Most Haunted" skit with Hugh Laurie playing the part of Derek. This show is a joke with us anyway ("If there are any ghosts present, please give us a sign - tap this table, rattle a window..." (tap, tap, tap), "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!" (a lot of screaming and crying) AND THIS IS THE ACTUAL SHOW!

In the skit, when the character, Derek, um, broke wind, the others kept speculating on what the sound had been, replaying it over and over, even in slow speed, and better yet showed thermal images. I was :rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lmao::rotfl:

OMG!!!!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

OMG!!!!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I thought "More cowbells" was the funniesy skit ever, but this one beats it. I found a video of it, and my stomach is cramped up from laughing so hard!

"OH BLOODY HELL, I BROKE WIND!":lmao: :lmao:

We wanna pump (clap) You UP!

The rest of my favorite sound like this list....
Choppin' Broccoli
I need more cowbell
and I no longer HATE Justin Timberlake! I find myself humming that darn song at the most inappropriate times!

I can't take the elimination in America's Next Top Model seriously anymore, that's for sure! I love Maya Rudolph as Tyra: "Who will be crowned...America's...Next...Top...Mo...Del?" So now I realize even more that that's actually how Tyra talks.

My mom and I can't say anything that has to do with making copies, because it always turns into: "Steve, the Steve-ster, Steve-o-rama...makin' copies!"

And ::yes:: to the Eddie Murphy as Mr. Rodgers skit, and Debbie Downer in WDW. They cracked up throughout it, that's how hysterical it was. Here it is:

Omleteville
Homelessville

That Target one with Justin!

Those Jeopardy ones are hilarous

A Petit something...

And you can guess what Turd Ferguson called it
Jimmy's French impression was spot on

"What is the sound a dog makes?"
Sean: "Mooooooo"

SNL ruined my disdain for Justin Timberlake. I'm still not a fan of his music, but the D-word in a Box video made me like the guy.

Me too... I used to really dislike him, but for me all it took was

"Bring it on down to Omletteville" and I was converted to a fan.

Anyone who can take himself, his image and his own work so lightly and with such good humor is okay in my book.

I had to take my FIL to the emergency room the other day. Some of the characters (er, patients) in there reminded me of the Appalachian Emergency Room skits.

the barry gibb talkshow makes me laugh uncontrollably when i think of it. i loved justin timberlake from that (then the d in a box skit came later). i can't stop singing the theme song whenever i hear barry on the radio! :lmao:

i also thought the old glory robot insurance was hilarious too!!

i also used to love "dog show" with molly shannon and will ferrell. so funny.

These are great!

OK - now reach wayyyyy back. Does anyone remember the skit with Steve Martin where Carol King is singing "You've Got a Friend" and Steve is getting mugged or something? She sings, "You just call out my name . . ." and he cries "Carol . . " "And you know wherever I am, I'll come running . . ." Steve ends up dying and they say this inspired her next hit, "It's too late Baby"

As far as ruined, I can't help when I hear the Star Wars theme, singing like Bill Murray, 'Star Wars, nothing but Staar Wars."

Anyone remember those?

Finally the Night at the Roxy with Jim Carrey - or his lifegaurd skit.:rotfl2:

Ahhhh -- the good old days!:3dglasses

Definitely. I like him so much more since that was on last year. DH and I found ourselves singing it at inappropriate times though and he will randomly turn to me and without singing mime the actions for the whole "step one, cut a hole in the box............." part. Cracks me up every time

Beleive it or not that was my first ever SNL episode that I watched. I was probably 7 or 8 years old then and I was so shocked/sad/suprised.

My Dad (who let me stay up in the first place) kept on saying "he didn't die it was just fake"

There is not a meal in our house that includes brocolli that is not ruined by Dana Carvey and SNL.

I'm choppin' brocolliiiiii! Choppin brocOlie!

I never saw the skit until someone brought it up last month, but I'd been hearing my DH sing that for 13 years! Even my kids sing it, lol.

To this day, it's chee buggah chee buggah chee buggah cheeeps, no coke, pepsi. Except for the one time no pepsi, coke! :rotfl2:

Anyone from the NY Metro area remember the Kenny Everett Video Show coming on after SNL and Don Kirshner in the late 70's/early 80's. The guy was a genius. My favorite on that show was the "Instant Bee Gees kit" Off to You Tube to see if any of Kenny's sketches are around.

I found the lifeguard skit last night on youtube or myspace video. It was freaking hilarious!!

Loved the lap swim time.

Thanks for the correction :goodvibes . I couldn't quite recall what it was. DH played the skit for me and I was laughing so hard.

Billy Crystal and Christopher Guest " Doesn't it hurt when you shove a screwdriver up your nose? Yeah! I HATE it when that happens!" "yeah, it really smarts"

That is my all time favorite. When my brothers and I get together we still play that game, coming up with the "top this" hurting scenario. We burst into fits of giggles just like when we were watching the original episodes 25 years ago.

Oh! Another good one - Christopher Guest and Martin Short practicing for the Olympic syncronized swimming competition. Martin Short can't swim, so he wears a life vest! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: "Hey you!, I know you, I know you" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My husband and I break into that one in the pool at least once a summer.
