has a SNL skit ever "ruined" anything for you??? LOL!

Every time I see Sean Connery, I think of the Jepardy skit and I laugh. :lmao:

"That's not what your mother said last night, Trebek." Honestly, those Jeopardy skits are some of my all time favorites.:rotfl2:

I can't watch anything where Christopher Walken is doing a serious role. All I think of is him offering his lady guest some "sham-pah-na" (champagne) in "the continental" skits

Have to agree with their George W. Bush. There was a skit when he was first elected and they had someone playing his brother Jeb. They were seriously talking to Jeb and GW was on the couch on his back with all fours up in the air playing with a ball of yarn.:lmao:

Then there was another one where GW was talking about working hard, really working, staying late, and having to order take-out so now when DH works late, we joke about ordering take-out. :happytv:

The one with Dana Carvey playing George Sr. and Will Ferrell as GWB kills me. Where they go hunting and George Sr. is considering shooting him because he is so stupid. That one is classic.

"That's not what your mother said last night, Trebek." Honestly, those Jeopardy skits are some of my all time favorites.

Where "Therapists" is a category and Sean Connery says "I'll take The Rapists for 200 Alex". :rotfl: Then of course Burt Reynolds demanding to be called Turd Ferguson. :lmao:

The categories kill me! My favorite is "The Pen is Mightier" where he put two of the words together (which I am pretty sure I can't type without points!).:rotfl2: I

I would have to say, since I am old enough to have been around from the beginning when SNL was very funny, that SNL has ruined SNL for me.

I have never again throw Fish into the Blender, after watching the Bass O Matic Skit.

God forbid, Every time I see a Pepsi Ad, I think of no Coke, Pepsi, Cheesburger, Cheeseburger, Cheesburger.

Everytime I see or hear Alec Baldwin I immediately think of his SNL skit about "Sweaty Meatballs" aka "Sweaty Balls" :lmao:

For me, the funnier part of this skit was the two NPR hosts. They REALLY sound like the chicks on NPR. My MIL listens to NPR all of the time (as background noise in the house), so any time I vist her, I think of Schwetty Balls and/or Schwetty Weiners.

Yeah, Justin Timberlake is more tolorable for me now, and Sean Connery I now think of as a dirty old man!

I also have issues with Gumby now. And I remember Sara Michelle Geller doing Christina Agulara (sp?) doing her "Dirrrrty"

My most recent favorite was the "Most Haunted" skit with Hugh Laurie playing the part of Derek. This show is a joke with us anyway ("If there are any ghosts present, please give us a sign - tap this table, rattle a window..." (tap, tap, tap), "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!" (a lot of screaming and crying) AND THIS IS THE ACTUAL SHOW!

In the skit, when the character, Derek, um, broke wind, the others kept speculating on what the sound had been, replaying it over and over, even in slow speed, and better yet showed thermal images. I was :rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lmao::rotfl:

I remember that one. I was rolling laughing watching that one! :rotfl2:

Jeopardy! I can't watch it without thinking of Celebrity Jeopardy on SNL:

Sean Connery: It looks like this is my lucky day! I'll take "The Rapists" for $200.

Alex Trebek: That's "Therapists." That's "Therapists," not "The Rapists." Let's skip "Therapists" and try "Household Objects", for $400. And the answer is, "You usually drink water out of one of these." [Sean Connery buzzes in] Sean Connery.

Sean Connery: A leather glove!

Re: Jeopardy!, a favorite Sean Connery category was:

An Al bum Cover

:happytv:

I used to love the Commodore's song..Three Times a Lady, it used to bring tears to my eyes until this guy did his own rendition:lmao: :lmao: Now it brings tears to my eyes for a completely different reason:rotfl2:

Before Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken "ruined" it, "Don't Fear the Reaper" used to be a great rock song. Not that I mind though. I wouldn't trade that cowbell skit for anything.

This thread definiatly needs....

We got the Best of SNL Commercials DVD from Netflix a few weeks ago... Bran cereal of any kind always makes me think of Colon Blow.

Sadly, they didn't include the Adobe commercial... the car that's made out of clay!

There is not a meal in our house that includes brocolli that is not ruined by Dana Carvey and SNL.

I'm choppin' brocolliiiiii! Choppin brocOlie!

That is my DS's ringtone! We love that sketch in our house!!

"Once Buckwheat sings a song, it's eternally his...."

My favorite Buckwheat sketch was when they had a sing-a-long with the words on the screen as he san them.

Meech out and dutch (reach out and touch)
Dumbody's and (somebody's hand)

Make dis world a betta pace (Make this world a better place)
Ip doo tan (If you can)

OMG!!! That is the BEST!!!!!!:lmao: :rotfl::rotfl2:
A friend of mine and myself both have buttons on our desks at work that say "I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell"
