Harry Potter ride at Universal

Anyone know if they take pics of your ride on Harry Potter ride at IOA like they do at theme parks over here?? We won't be doing the other thrill rides at IOA so won't be worth getting Universal's version of PhotoPass. Would be nice to be able to get a ride pic on that though as my son is the BIGGEST Harry Potter fan (or a Pott-head as I believe they get called! Lol!) Thanks!

Yeh they do... well at least they did in 2010, and I doubt it has changed!

Thanks Chmurf but, as I previously posted, we won't be doing the other rides so this offer would be a waste of time for us. Great to know they do individual prints so I can just get one from Harry Potter ride without having to ride all the others just to make it worth my while - thanks for that Steff! FAB pic as well!!

The other thing we do at US/IOA and Disney is to quickly get our camera out at the end of the ride and take a photo of the photo!!!! We don't always want to purchase the photo as its normally awful of us so this is the cheap and naughty way round it. They don't mind you doing it

Lol! Will keep that in mind, thanks! To be honest, I think there's some tacky stuff you buy at these places and, as adults, we think it's a rip-off charge etc but, to the 6 yr old child (or however old your child/children are), it all adds to the experience Would possibly buy one this trip but not any future trips

Just don't try this at Alton Towers, or Thorpe Park! My goodness, they nearly took my camera off me and deleted it themselves, they were absolutely livid! it was as if I had committed a really terrible crime haha!
Learnt my lesson! xx

FYI , I believe the Potter ride takes your photo in the middle of the Forbidden Forest scene (right after Hermione appears to help you find your way out),
so if you have a fear of *SPOILERS* spiders then you may not be pulling the best photo face!
I know from experience...

Am not overly bothered about looking good on a ride pic. Ride pics aren't generally good anyway but I would buy it just so my son can get the buzz of being able to say he'd been and has a photo to prove it

We found Universal ride pics don't show on the screen at the end, they seem to be generic pics with words across them. We weren't going to buy any so didn't bother going to the desk to ask to put ours on the screen. At Disney they didn't mind if you took a snap of the screen, although we had PP+ anyway.

We didn't see our pics as both myself and the husband went straight outside for fresh air and just about avoided vomiting on the ride both kids (7and 9) were fine just us! Absolutely amazing ride (when I didn't have my eyes shut praying not to vomit )

I always send DH on the 'iffy' rides as he knows my limitations. I get motion sick very easily. He said it was a def NO for this ride. He said he wouldn't do it again either and he is way better then me with motion.

TBH I have never been on any of the rides at US/IOA that take photo's but have taken a few photo's of the photo's at WDW, although they are normally just of the back of my head!

Other rides I hate because of the motion sickness in US/IOA are The Simpsons and Spiderman. Just about cope with MIB if it doesn't spin to much..

Are you going there for your son's birthday? In that case go to Guest assistance and ask for the birthday pin. It will increase by 1000% the chance to be chosen at Olivander's.

Unfortunately not. His birthday isn't til Dec 9. We're going there coz he's caught up 2 yrs school in 6 mths! Do they do achievement pins?? Lol!
