Harmony Barbor Shop

I agree.

Never understood the appeal of getting your hair cut at a theme park.

We have had all our children get first hair cuts there. A bit more fun than at a local salon or Great Clips. We found the experience better, even with older kids, than we had at Snippitz which prides itself as a children's salon.

Sometimes my husband got his cut at the same time because he just ran out of time at home.

We consider it an attraction just like anything else. It's okay that it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Does anyone know the names of the current female barbers? We went a month or so ago and I wanted to write a positive letter. I don't remember her name but I would recognize it if I heard it.

Never thought about this for my kids except the one time we were close to going when my son needed a first hair cut.

Just curious though, they give you Mickey ears and stickers?
How much does a haircut cost? Seems to me you would really need to want it as a special occasion vs just a normal haircut as I assume it's not cheap in comp to a local place.

Actually it is cheap IMO. $15 for a haircut (no stickers/ears) and $18 for a "first haircut" package.
Note that they only accept cash for tips.

the Mickey ears are part of the First Haircut package, they are embroidered with "first haircut" on the back. We took my nephew for his first haircut, he was around 18-20 months at the time, we had no idea how he would take it, they were great with him! Kid was completely distracted by toys and stickers.

We are doing it in February for our 10 month olds! Little girl needs a haircut, boy not so much but we couldn't resist. It's also pretty cheap since it comes with Mickey ears we thought...

Can I say as a 29 year old getting their haircut there for the first time last year (not first haircut tho lol) how amazing the people working there are? I got there a bit early for my appt and got to watch them work on a couple kids and they were amazing. Even my own barber was the sweetest woman, who chatted with me the entire time. It was all in all quite the magical experience and we'll worth what I spent. Especially since I got to have pixie dust in my hair the rest of the day lol.

Had my daughters hair cut there in September. We were able to walk right in without an appointment at about 10am. Haircut only took about 5 minutes or so and then she did ponytails and glitter. They no longer have colored gel

My youngest two had their first hair cuts at the barber shop. Most recent was in 2013. They were both 11 months old and didn't really need it, but we were close enough!

We always made reservations for first thing in morning to get it done. We didn't want to have to go all the way back to the front of the park in the middle of the day just for that.

They both were covered in stickers (legs and arms) to distract them a bit from what was going on. We received mickey ears that say "1st haircut" on the back, a certificate, and some of their hair.

I think the first haircut is a little more expensive than a normal cut, but I don't remember it being unreasonable, especially for disney!

When they re-open will they have the colored gel again?

This place is the BEST!

Then they did my crazy hair!

This was worth every penny! we had a BLAST!!!

Are photopass photographers there?

We had my son's haircut here in October 2013. They did have a photo pass photographer who came in during his cut and snapped a few photos.

I found the prices to be comparable to my local salon, and the lady did a great job cutting his hair and keeping him entertained. We plan to have our youngest son's first haircut here during our trip in February. I'd recommend making reservations to avoid having to wait with a little one.
