Had to book by phone for the first time. Anything else I need to do?

Hi everyone,

I normally book my trips online as I find it much more comforting to have all the information in front of me, on-screen, during the process. However, this time, on step # 2 of check out, where it confirms where to send travel documents (magic bands and mickeymail), it listed my street address as SW (Southwest) instead of NW (Northwest) due to a cast member assigning my unique PIN to that wrong address. I called Disney and they told me the only way to book, since there is a typo in their system, would be to book over the phone.

So, I went ahead and did it. One difference I noticed is that when booking online and setting up DME, it asks for your flight numbers, arrival and departure cities, and your arrival and departure times. Over the phone, she only asked for the flight numbers. I'm sure I'm being overly cautious, but, should I assume that everything is correct even though I only gave her the flight numbers and not the times and cities?

I've linked the reservation to my MDE account and it all looks ok, although the MDE account never does show DME information even if you book online.

Anything else I should know about online vs phone booking?

I'm a control nut when it comes to logistics planning, as you can tell.

Thanks!

Don't worry. I'm the logistics person in my relationship too. I wouldn't worry about MDE (and that's really saying something). I've never had a problem with it, even when I didn't know my flight information quite yet. Your flight number and airline are enough to go by-- besides, the times they give you for your flight are subject to change if things get going early or, more likely, get backed up and run late. Disney can track your flight sufficiently. Besides that, even if something happens and you were to, say, miss your flight (happened to me last Christmas. Urgh!), MDE is accessible for all WDW resort guests. You can check in with your Magic Bands or just tell the CM at the desk your name and where you're staying, and they'll let you onto the bus just the same. Honestly, of all the things I worry about logistics-wise, MDE is one of the lowest on my list.

Yes, because every incoming flight has a specific arrival time and every departing flight has a specific departure time.

If it bothers you, you can cancel your reservation and re-book by using a new email address/new MDE account. Then you'll have total control of every aspect of the booking process.
