I went this morning and got two... great deal! I only got two because they only had one flavor, Apple Cinnamon, and I want others. We have LOTS of Targets to choose from, going to go to a few tomorrow AM.
I had no problem using them in one transaction, my cashier didn't hesitate in the least. I can't remember the exact wording on the coupon, but it could be taken to mean one coupon per item(s) purchased. So that one couldn't try to use two coupons and only buy 2 candles (and therefore be owed money BACK). I don't know, but like I said, I didn't have any trouble doing it that way.
NH........Purchased 4 candles and 2 refills (on sale for 2/5) so the total came up to 20.56 and I received $20 in gift cards.....so grand total came to .56
Thanks to whomever posted the great deal.....
Thanks for this thread! It was great!
I got 4 candles - 1 french vanilla, 1 apple cinamin and 2 clean linen
2 refills - Hawaiin breeze and clean linen (on sale 2 for 5.00), I didn't have the refill coupon w/ me
Paid 24.43 - the receipt is impossible to figure out
got 4 $5.00 gift cards
no issue at all with the cashier & the coupons
My shelves were stocked with these, but the cin/apple scents were at the endcap with the clearance candles & febreeze
Thanks so much for telling us about this offer. I tried this last night at my local Target with 2 of the BOGO coupons. They only had 4 of the candles left and they were all apple cinnamon. The only refills left were the fresh linen ones. Seems like a lot of people in this town were going out for the deal!
I "spent" $20.56 for the candles and got $20 worth of gift cards. My husband was quite impressed with my bargain hunting abilities.
Thanks fellow budget boarders!
I just have to thank the op again for posting this bargain. I have always used the plug in kind of air fresheners because the battery powered ones I've bought in the past never worked well. Well, these things are fantastic! The scent is clean and fresh. And I don't have to have it turned all the way up to be able to smell the scent. I have it set on the lowest possible setting and I get the right amount of scent. And now I can put them in places I couldn't before. Under the kitchen sink(where the trash can is), in the closet with the litter box. I'm taking one to my office too.
Now I've got to find some more refills. I bought out the last of the candles and refills at my Target. I hope Wal-mart sells them.
I plan to use these as graduation gifts for girls from church who will be living in college dorms next year. (No candles allowed in dorms).
I traditionally hand-paint a popcorn bowl and put a few packages of microwave popcorn inside. These will make a nice addition.
I'm also tucking one in DH's Christmas stocking. He gets worried about my constant candle burning so the fact that it is flameless will be a small joke--at 12 cents per candle Santa can afford to be a smart-aleck
I'm a bit peeved at our Targets here. The first one I went to a few days ago did the whole, "We can't give you BOGO if you are getting gift cards." Then I went to a second one yesterday and they were out. How can a retailer reject a manufacturers coupon just because they have their own offer too?
