Gotta love bounceback! 10th ann. & family vaca PTR-9/201o-WE'RE BACK!

:yay: What wonderful news that your cousin will be able to join you! Sharing that magical place is the best thing to do! ;)
For the last four years our friends Mary Ellen and Joe were able to join us for a few days at WDW - guess I need to explain that we met on a message board, wrote to each other for a year and a half and finally met at our happy place. They will be there for the last week we are there and I am totally happy to see them again!
So ......... long story short ........ I am really happy for you!! :woohoo:

:thumbsup2 for sorting out the cake, hopefully you can get the discount too :)

:yay: for your cousin joining too, its shaping up to being a real family vacation :goodvibes

PS
I will reply to your PM soon, just catching up first on everything :)

That's awesome your cousin will get to join you!! Will I get to meet her too?? Bummed your office friend won't be able to make it, but like you say, maybe next time :)

She's going to be there at the back end of our trip, so you won't get to meet her. We had originally asked her to come with us for the entire trip but she wasn't able to at that time. Interesting, she hasn't got the Disney bug and would prefer to hang out at the pool. :rolleyes1 We plan to get her addicted to Disney...just like us. :lmao:

That's so exciting! There is something about sharing our favorite place with people we care about. In 2008, my girlfriend Kit and her family overlapped with us for 2 days and it was great. My DD17 was so excited to have teens there her age, and I loved that they could do their thing and we did our thing before meeting up for meals. I tried to talk them into coming this year, but they are building a new home and there just isn't extra funds:confused3

I agree about wanting to share our fav place with people we care about. I'm sorry to hear that they are not able to come this year. :sad2:

I'm so happy that she will be there. What a nice story. I love meeting people from the DIS. I also met a new friend from another board :rolleyes1. She lives close to my BIL in PA so we got to meet when we were there last.

Great news, Sophia, that your cousin can join you.

I'm so happy.... And you'll get to meet her too when we meet up with you and Mark! :goodvibes

I'm glad the cake thing worked out but there was a lot of nonsense getting there.

I am excited that she will be there with us and it is shaping up to be quite the family vacaton.

I'll watch for your PM.

By the way.........I am almost ready to send the next package. I was so worried about getting the last one there in time for your birthday that I sent it off quickly.

Goodness another one already!!! You are fast

Our box won't be ready for a while, as I want to get something from Italy for you guys and also we are going to be visiting some UK attractions next month and I want to get some stuff from those for you too :)

I am glad you don't have to worry about the cake now, will be a bit of a surprise when it turns up though, strawberries and cream or amaretto filling, which will you get :teeth:

Lol, let me know how it goes, Tweet when you are there and I will send you a reply :teeth:

Sending you some :wizard: that they can get you the filling you want for your cake.

That is so good that your cousin is joining you. It is always nice to brainwash, I mean show the people you love your favorite place.

I agree. I can't wait to show her around Disney.

Great news about your cousin joining - it really will be a Grand Gathering!

It will be! :goodvibes

I can't stand it anymore............

I want to pack.............like NOW!!!!!!!!!!

I've been doing laundry for the last couple of hours. I am finding myself putting together outfits and setting them aside so that they are ready for the suitcase. :rolleyes1 Sad, considering we still have about 6 weeks before our trip.

I've been buying little things and putting them into my carryon bag so that they are all together. I so want to get the suitcases, yes...plural....cases... out of the attic and start packing! Joe packs the night before. No kidding. And if we have a flight any later than 9 a.m., he is packing the day of. It drives me nuts.

I still want to try and lose anohter 5 pounds or so before our trip. I was super bad this weekend but I plan to get right back on track. I have to weigh in tomorrow at Weight Watchers so I will take my punishment at the scale and then move along.

How far in advance do you pack? Anyone have packing lists that they care to share?

I feel the same way you do! I have 2 baskets full of stuff that's all ready to pack, mostly toiletries etc. I went this weekend and bought large freezer bags, I've learned through stuff leaking in my suitcases, to put everything liquid in ziploc bags. My absolute must is an over-the-door shoe organizer....that way the vanity is always clear, the only thing we leave on it in the mornings is the hair straigtner. I always take umbrella's, I find in the heat of summer the plastic of the ponchos is just too much. I also take suction cups from the dollar store and put them in the shower and that's where we hang our bathing suits (its' good too to hang hand washed things at the hotel too) We always take our own beach towels too! I find the ones in the hotel are just a little too small and then there's no need to worry about getting fresh towels for your showers in the morning!

I already have stuff in our carry ons too:rolleyes1 I ordered all new meds for the trip...I have a peanut allergy so I ordered 2 new epi pens, 2 new inhalars, just in case, and my stomach pills. I am hoping though with going to Weight Watchers and continuing to loose weight that eventually I'll be off my stomach pills....I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that.

I have to admit I pack the night before; but, like you, I've been putting things aside here and there -- got all the hats out that we need, ponchos, socks (we bought all new ones), suntan lotion, etc.

Just caught up reading all your PTR posts:crazy:
1st - You must be the best Aunt ever! Would you like to adopt another niece & nephew?
2nd - I cannot wait to see the picture of the cake you finally get!
3rd - Congrats on Weight Watchers!
4th - Love your new bathroom, especially the Mickey shower curtain!

Can't wait to read more!

I am a last minute (let's call that second) packer as well. :lmao: For the last few trips our flight out of Linz was at 10.30 and I started packing the night before (at around 8pm) and finished with the last few bits and pieces in the morning. I don't have a packing list ....... had one for my school trip in May and left half the things home! :rotfl2:
Tom and I do pick up toiletries though during the time before the trip. We put them on a special shelf in the walk in closet and we pick from there the night before we travel.
And it's the same no matter if we travel for a few days or 4 weeks! ;)

I do the same thing with the ziploc bags. Yesterday I ended up putting several outfits in space bags. I iron everything anyway so I figured I'd use those. I tend to do laundry while we're there so I bring stuff back clean.

You've given me some great ideas. I love the over the door bag to put stuff in. Having junk on the sink does make me crazy and it sounds like that will get rid of that problem.

I agree aobut the ponchos. It does get quite hot.

I have to admit I pack the night before; but, like you, I've been putting things aside here and there -- got all the hats out that we need, ponchos, socks (we bought all new ones), suntan lotion, etc.

I usually get new socks at Disney. :goodvibes I love the Mickey socks that they have there.

I would be so afraid of forgetting things if I packed the night before. :rolleyes1

Hi :wave2: Glad that you're here.

Joe and I don't have kids so we tend to spoil our nieces and nephew. :rolleyes1 It's fun to do actually. I'd love to have more of them!

Thanks for the congrats. I had so hoped to be further along by now. :sad1:

I can't wait to see the cake either. I have a vision in my head and I am wondering how close it will be.

My darling Stevie has managed to totally destroy my new bathroom shower curtain. :scared1: To the point where it cannot be repaired. I can't wait until he's not a kitten anymore........

Oh, last second packer? Even when you leave the country? :scared1: That would scare me. I envy people that can do that. I would forget so much that it wouldn't even be funny. :lmao:

I like the idea of having a special place to put things so that you can pick out what you need. :goodvibes

Last second packer :thumbsup2, yes! Even when we leave for our summer vacation for 4 weeks! :rotfl2: Can't do it any other way and I am quite good about NOT forgetting important things. Forgot the DLRP ponchos in February, but that was it!

This used to be my mom's walk in and when she died some of the shelves got adopted to be my storage shelves - but it is only for toothbrushes and stuff which I only buy when they are on offer or I have a coupon. ;)

Lol, bless ya

I take the day off before we fly and spend most of it packing. I tend to pack at least three times, hate doing it, wish we could have someone do it for us. Don't know what I would be like if I had to pack the night before, nightmare!

Check out my new ticker ;)

That is great!!!! I'm so glad you are going to see your "fav" Dis people...what fun you will have. Stop by my PTR if you get a chance.

Sophia, I make a LONG list before I pack and then double check it twice the night I pack to be sure I've not forgotten anything.
