Gotta love bounceback! 10th ann. & family vaca PTR-9/201o-WE'RE BACK!

Isn't that shirt hilarious? There is one that we are combing the city for. We've been to every Kohl's store to try and find it because they don't sell it on line. He wants it bad. It says something like "what's that? I can't hear you over my own awesomeness." :lmao::lmao::lmao: He has some that are just plain stupid though and I cringe if he tries to take them to Disney with us. The one that I really hate says "cut your mullet" and has a cartoon character of a dude with a mullet. He thinks it's funny because he HAD one for YEARS when he was a kid............

:scared1: Yikes, Japanese beetles. We've not had them here but I tell you what, those dang black ants that march to the house every spring drive me insane. I see them and go nuts. Everyone here has them for at least a week in the spring. You should see the hardware store. It's like they are giving stuff away that week with the lines of people getting stuff to get rid of them. It's got to be the worst week of the year for me. They totally gross me out.

We are going to our Kohl's on Tuesday. What size? I'll be glad to look for it for you.

We had these damn beetles two years ago and had to have them come and spray our trees ($300 later) because they eat the leaves on the trees and some flowers (they don't touch my lilacs, but they eat my rose bushes). We literally had thousands of them that year. We didn't have them last year, but they are back in full force this year. The problem is if no one else puts the stuff out to "lure them" they will go to the house with the "lure" and we have to replace the bags almost daily.

Love the new SMALLER clothing!! That's so awesome! I'm hoping to follow in that effort soon!

LOL at the squirrel. I hate to tell people this because I'm so proud of my other sorority symbols (being the pearl, cream/red roses, and a lot of other really lady-like items), but our animal mascot is a squirrel. D'oh! I'm still laughing at his determination; too funny!!!

Love the new purchases...and woohoo for Weight Watchers....it's the best program on earth IMO:rolleyes1

Love the shirts for your hubby, they cracked me up!!!

Kathy, he's in a 2x. :goodvibes If you find one, I think I will surprise him with it later and not even tell him. :rolleyes1

OMG, those beetles would make me nuts. :scared1:

You should have seen him. :lmao: He wasn't giving up. I thought we'd finally found a squirrel proof bird feeder. That was the first time that any squirrel came anywhere near to getting into it.

Weight Watchers is awesome. There is no way to fail if you just follow the program. You don't have to eat any special foods, etc. which is why I like it so much.

He's got quite the sense of humor.

I've seen squirrels do that before- cracks me up every time!! :rotfl2: I guess if you're desperate enough...

Hey, great new clothes! I am a big fan of buying smaller sized clothing! Although even with the weight I have lost, I am not down nearly as many sizes as I thought I would be :/

SO, I think we need to start a new ticker :)

Love your new purchases. It is always nice to be able to shop for clothes in smaller sizes. :goodvibes:

I love Joe's new shirts. They seem to fit his personality to a tee (heehee).

Too funny about that squirrel. They do that to the feeder's in my grandma's yard all the time. Used to drive my poor grandpa nuts.

It has been so hot out lately that we had a raccoon outside our house on saturday night that I think would have come in if I had invited it to enjoy the cool air conditioning.

Congrats on your success with Weight Watchers :yay: Loving the new purchases, great colour choices :goodvibes

Cheeky squirrel, smart little things aren't they

Bake sale and lemonade sounds like a great idea, esp in that heat too :thumbsup2

Yeah, would you believe it, but I have finally caught up again! :yay:

Love the photos of little Steve! He is a cutie! That Squirrel is quite something! :lmao:

Oh, and all that shopping! I love your new shorts, capris and T-shirts - maybe I should try weight watchers myself - I still fit into the old clothes, even though I tried to diet, but the end of the school year always put on a few pounds! :confused3 I wish I just didn't like sweets so much! ;)
Well done for you!

Hey Sophia,
I'm back and trying to get all caught up! Its so exciting to start shopping for the trip, isn't it? I've been eyeing shoes and bags lately. Congrats on being able to buy a smaller size, that's always fun!!:goodvibes

I'm happy that our weather finally is getting reasonable. Your raccoon probably did want to come in and check out the fridge too.

Thanks Stefy. I hope to keep losing between now and our trip.

I keep forgetting to mention the bake sale and lemonade to my mom. :rolleyes1 I think it's a pretty good idea.

It's so easy to get behind, isn't it? I'm behind again myself right now.

Stevie is pretty cute. He's super bad though.

I'm still working at achieving goal weight but honestly, Weight Watchers is the only thing that works for me. I fail at every other diet i try. :sad2:

Glad you're back! I love shopping for vacation. It's so much fun! I have my eye on a few bags myself but Joe keeps reminding me of all of the bags that I have in storage that I never use.

Well, I did it! I booked the Wishes Dessert Party.:banana::banana:

I made a last minute decision yesterday to just do it. It was so much fun last year and the view of Wishes is outstanding so I figured what the heck! :yay:

Joe got a new video camera that we want to try out and that seems like the perfect time to do that. There won't be people bumping into us, etc. and we can test it out then.

We can cancel 24 hours ahead so if anyone decides they don't want to go, etc., I can get a refund and just reduce the party size.

:dance3::dance3::dance3:

I've been thinking more and more about getting a specialty cake for our dinner at GFC. I am torn though between the mini wedding cakes or a 10 inch cake. The mini's are limited in flavors so I am leaning more to the 10 inch cake. I want the same flavor as we had last year, it's my favorite and Joe likes it too.

ddddddddddddddddddddllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll - that's Stevie....apparently he wants to post today too.

Ok, back to the cake. I am going to get white almond with amaretto butter cream. That I know, the rest, who knows. :confused3 I have a call into Pat at the GF Bakery so I need to make up my mind before she calls back.

Anyone have any ideas?????

Yesterday while shopping at our local Giant Eagle I found Disney gift cards. :yay: We can't get Disney dollars anymore so these are the next best thing. As a bonus, for every $50 you spend at the store, you get fuel perks. They also have gas stations so you can get 10 cents off per gallon for every $50 you spend. It was like hitting the jackpot! Each time we shop I plan to get a gift card or two (they have them in $25, $50, $100 and $500) and put them away for our trip. :yay::yay:

Awesome about the Dessert Party and gift cards!

Disney giftcards are the way to go. I found them right before our trip at GE and got a few to use for my souveniers thant way I could keep track of what I spent.

The wishes dessert party sounds good. I have seen pics and all of it looks so yummy.

I think we're going to book the dessert party too! My sister and her family did it on their last trip and she said it was wonderful, so I'm pretty excited! I think I will book and surprise Jasmine!!

Those flavors sound wonderful for your cake....!!!

I can't believe that I didn't know that they had them at Giant Eagle. :confused3

The party is yummy. We went last year and really enjoyed it. This year I have to remember to take pictures of the buffet table.

dude..you cant get disney dollars anywhere?? I'll have to check into my disney store! if i see them I'll let you know!

Nope, none...zip...zilch....nada. I was told that they do not sell them at any Disney Store any longer and that you can get them at Guest Services. I was bummed. The cards are nice but my biggest fear is that they will get de-magnetized going through the airport! If that happens, I am sunk!!!

Pat called me back today. Get this...........

I wanted a 10 inch white almond cake, amaretto filling, white fondant, stamped Mickey's and who knows what else.

She tells me today that she doesn't think that they can do the amaretto filling and that they only do it for wedding cakes. :scared1: I told her that I got that last year. She pulled the order and said "yeah." So I asked her why I can't get it this year. She said that they make it only in large batches for wedding cakes. She asked me for a back up filling and I said strawberries and custard or cream or whatever it is that they use.

Moving on...........

We got to the stamped Mickey's. Last year I got silver. Since I had such a hard time thinking of what to put on the top of the cake, I just decided to go with peachy pink and yellow roses (my favorites). Given those colors, I asked for gold stamped Mickey's.................wait for it..................

THE MICKEY'S ARE NOW $40!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1::scared1: She said that they went up dramatically because they use real silver and real gold. Here is the price comparison for the cake from last year and the cake for this year:

Last Year:

10 inch cake base
8 inch cake on top of 10 inch
white almond cake
amaretto buttercream filling
buttercream frosting and fondant on top
silver stamped Mickey's
white bow (i think it was gum paste or something)
delivery to GF dock
$185.00

This year:
10 inch cake
white almond cake
amaretto (but probably strawberry/cream) filling
buttercream frosting
white fondant
gold stamped Mickey's
flowers
$140 :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Really????????? Are you serious????????

After we compared the two cakes she said that she was going to check on the pricing and call me back. I really, really, really want the cake but it is killing me to pay that much considering what I paid last year.

What would you do? :confused3:confused3
