Now I come to the part of the November trip that DH dreaded....Super Soap Weekend. I LOVED it. He HATED it and said NEVER AGAIN.:scared1: I was so bummed out when he said that but I totally understand why. OMG was it crowded. Actually, crowded wasn't even the right word. It was mobbed..insanely mobbed and you know what? The male fans were WORSE than the female fans....BY FAR! I never saw so much pushing and shoving at Disney in my life. While the weather was awesome, the crowds were nuts.

We did eventually get to the Magic Kingdom too. I was super excited because this was the first time I got to meet the man himself in his classic Mickey outfit. I was SO HAPPY.

It was also the first time that I remember seeing the opening show at the Magic Kingdom.

We were able to ride all of our favorites since everyone and their brother was over at DHS!

Before we got on the plane to come home my nephew insisted on getting his face painted. He fell asleep on the plane and smeared it all over the place by the time we got home. lol

Next up was April 2005. I sorta feel like I'm reading my PTR alone, but it's so much fun to look back at all of the memories.

This was my birthday trip and the trip that made me fall in love with the AKL. We were fortunate and were upgraded to a savanna view room. I didn't want to leave the room. I spent hours on the balcony just watching all of the animals.

We had breakfast at CM's on my birthday. Tons of fun. I felt like a giant 3 year old with all the attention that I got from the characters. Don't ask me what I had on. That shirt was hideous!

We were only there for a few short days. We managed to see three of the four parks. Is it just me or did anyone else hate what they did to the castle? YUCKKY!!!!!!!!!!!

DisneyApril05068.jpg

How many times have you seen this joint empty????

We went over to the Studios. I am obsessed with Fozzie Bear.

We also checked out the Leave a Legacy tiles that we did on the previous trip;

The more I think about it, the more I am glad that the wand is no more...

Did you move the pics after you uploaded them here?

They still aren't up on the previous page (8), but I can see them on this one (9).

Awesome pics and how lucky were you to be upgraded to a Savannah Room.

I agree with the Castle pic comment, it does not look good. How come it looked like that?

Wish Main St Bakery looked like that most of the time :)

Going back to fix page 8 now. I must have renamed the album or something. Who knows. :rolleyes1

We had never seen the Main Street Bakery empty so I just had to take a picture. It was so odd. :confused3

I have no clue why they did that to the castle but I could not WAIT for it to come down. It was so tacky. YUK!

We also went to the Garden Grill that same trip. We went to the Ice Cream Social. It was horrible. We have never been so disappointed in an event at Disney before. :sad2: We did get a couple of cute pictures though.

That's my favorite place to take pictures at DTD. We have a zillion of them!

He really had a great time that trip. :lovestruc

Stefy, it looks like it is just the two of us here on my PTR. :sad1: I'm going to keep going though. Reliving the magic is fun.

Our next trip was Sept 2005, our 5th wedding anniversary. It was around that time that we decided that we'd spend every anniversary possible at Disney. We stayed at the WL, which is where we are staying again this September for our 10th anniversary.

I love WL. It's very homey and comfortable. We were upgraded to a pool view room, which was a very nice surprise.

We really enjoyed being able to take the boat over to MK. That is probably one of the reasons why we love the resort so much. Sometimes the monorail can be overwhelming with everyone trying to get a seat, etc. and the boats just are not like that from our experience. It's so relaxing to cross the lagoon in the boat and look at the MK. Aaahhhhhh.......

One day while walking to the dock, we saw this guy. We actually saw him A LOT during the trip. Maybe not the same dude, but we decided to name him Steve. He was our buddy.

Disney9-05072.jpg

He made his home here. I was so worried that the he'd get washed away.

Disney9-05078.jpg

I remember one night on the boat back from the MK, Wishes was just about to start. Our boat captain said, oh wow, lots of traffic out here...mind if I pull over for a bit? :lmao: Yay, we got ourselves a free Wishes Cruise. Wow is all I can say. It was spectacular!! We were very appreciative of his kindness.

Joe and I also went to our first Luau this year. This is Joe fiddling with the video camera.

Disney9-05008.jpg

I really enjoy this show. We were thinking of going back again this year but I am being stingy with my TS credits while planning.

We also went Akershus for breakfast for the first time. Back then you didn't get to meet Belle on the way in. She did though come around to the tables, but she was in her blue dress, not the yellow dress.

Disney9-05093.jpg

Here is Joe with his sweetie. He loves Ariel.

MK still had all the nasty stuff on the castle too. Man, I was happy when that stuff went away.

Disney9-05027.jpg

Thinking about this trip makes me so happy to be returning to WL. I can't wait!

We are planning to do a photo session here as well. Does anyone know any of the spots that they take you too?

No, no, I am still here! I just don't get much dis time on the weekends. Lovin the flashback photos.

The room at the Dolphin looks really cool. We'll have to look into that or the Swan sometime, the location really is great.

We were there in Sept 05 too, probably sometime around the 18th to the 25th. Stayed at All Star Movies.

I've heard back from most of the family and have now taken another shot at an itinerary. It is looking more and more like my sister and nephew will either take the last flight out on Friday or the first flight on Saturday. We are hoping for last flight out so that we can check them in when we get there on Friday morning and not have to change any ressies. We may not change them either way to avoid the hassle.

:wizard:Day of Arrival - DH, mom, DB and me
Get rental car and go to WL to check in

Lunch at Roaring Forks at WL

DHS for a few hour

DTD for dinner at Earl of Sandwich and some shopping

Back to resort to wait on the rest of the family to arrive

:wizard:Day 2
Wait for the rest of the family if they did not arrive the prior night

Magic Kingdom

Casey's for lunch (DH's favorite CS on property)

Dinner at Ohana's (first for us -- anyone know how it is?)

If Spectro and Wishes, back to MK

:wizard:Day 3
Breakfast at Roaring Forks

EPCOT - Future World Day

Lunch at Sunshine Seasons - they seem to have something for everyone

Dinner at Kouzzina - mom's request -- it's her favorite place to eat now

Back to EPCOT for Illuminations

:wizard:Day 4
Breakfast at BOMA

Animal Kingdom Day

Lunch at Flame Tree - my favorite pulled pork sandwich ever!

Go to AKL for zebra domes - I am totally going out of our way for these! Love them

Dinner at Fulton's - sister's request - her favorite place to eat

Side Story.......
Joe and I were at Fulton's once when it was just the two of us traveling. We were seated at a table by the kitchen. I had to scoot into the seat and when I did I about DIED! Marching in front of me was a guest....a cockroach! I about died. I called over our waiter and he moved us immediately. It freaked me out but it's her favorite place and she still wants to go back.

Ok, back to my itinerary.....
After Fulton's, shopping at DTD

:wizard:Day 5

Breakfast at CP - I want to get there as early as possible so that I can take pictures of the park while it is relatively empty. Tradition for me.

After breakfast, MK

No lunch because we are hoping for MNSSHP tonight so we are planning an early dinner at Whispering Canyon.

Hopefully there will be a MNSSHP today. Over the past few years, there has been one on this day of the week during the week that we are there.

:wizard:Day 6
Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine - totally not sure about this one. We have never done this before. Mom wants Kouzzina for breakfast so it's one or the other.

DHS for the day

Snack type lunch

Hope to get a Fantasmic package ressie at Mama Melrose today if Fantasmic is scheduled. If not, I'll just switch up some of our days if I can.

I have not seen Fantasmic in years and it's important to me that I do everything that I can to see it this time.

:wizard:Day 7

Breakfast at Akershus - I wasn't going to go back here this year but we're going to try it again.

EPCOT World Showcase Day

Lunch at Yorkshire Fish - DH has been wanting to try this forever

Later Dinner at GF Cafe - my new favorite place to eat. I just love it!

I also plan to get a specialty cake from the GF bakery today

:wizard:Day 8 :bride: our 10 year anniversary

Breakfast at Kona - this is a tradition on our anniversary.

We plan to spend the day at the resort taking it slow.

Planning on a photo session at WL sometime during the afternoon.

May have a light lunch or snacks since we plan on an early dinner.

Dinner at Yachtsman - this is a family favorite -- it had multiple "votes"

Wishes Cruise

My cousin and her two girls are suppose to fly down this day and spend the rest of our trip with us. If they do, that will give us the max for the Wishes Cruise boat. With her though, I will believe it when I see her tickets and a confirmation number!! She seems to change her mind a LOT.

:wizard:Day 9

This will depend on if we were able to see Fantasmic earlier in the week. If so then we will have breakfast at Roaring Forks and head to DHS.

Lunch at Studio Catering - love the pulled pork

Sanaa for dinner if we saw Fantasmic. If not, try and get a Fantasmic package dinner ressie somewhere

:wizard:Day 10
This depends on my sister's flight. She is going home today so that my nephew will not miss more than 5 days of school.

We plan on breakfast at the resort then the rest of the family will go to MK

Lunch at Pecos Bills

Dinner at Maya Grille - DH loved that place last year when we stayed at CSR. He hated CSR but loved Maya and wants to go back

We may go back to MK after dinner, especially if we have not seen Spectro and Wishes yet and if they are both scheduled that night.

:sad2:Departure Day
Depending on our flights we will try and go to MK one last time. If we have an early flight, we will head to DTD and do last minute shopping, grab food at Earl of Sandwich, cash in the last of our snack credits at Goofy's and then head to the airport.

I'm making it my mission to work in Spectro, Wishes, Illuminations and all of the parades this year. I have missed the Jammin Jungle parade every year for the last 5 at least. This year I hope to be able to see it. The weather is always so dang hot that no one can hang out for the entire day. Mom and Joe will most likely take breaks...maybe my brother too but my nephew and sister will probably say on and party with me!
