Gotta love bounceback! 10th ann. & family vaca PTR-9/201o-WE'RE BACK!

I am on the phone with Disney now, and the CM I am speaking to said they have not heard anything about not allowing party guests in until 7:00. She said they should have separate turnstyle for us to go through and will be handed our bracelets anytime from 4:00 p.m. on. :thumbsup2

I haven't been before, but I've read that a lot of people are being told both options - no early admission or definite early admission. Unfortunately, I don't think any CM is 110% sure and we won't find out until after the first party.

Hiya, I got your PM and just replied :)

You must let me know what the Minnie bar is like and where you got it from so we can try one too :teeth:

Yikes about FT BBQ, I love eating there too. As an alternative, why don't you try Yak and Yeti CS?

Think we might be neck and neck again with the post count

I will def report back on the Mickey bar! I've not tried Yak and Yeti yet, have you?

I know! I haven't had much online time at all! I'm up-front today covering reception (we have a ton of people out), so I'm playing around on the internet all day if you have some free time! (I always keep my GMail open; you need to make an account!)

Hrm? Healthy snacks? I know the popcorn is really, really buttered, but it's a lot less carb count than something like a pretzel (if you're watching carbs.)

I normally try to order salads as my sides to a meal (or, fruit).

And, stay away from anything other than water. The drinks there are all loaded with sugar; you'll save a ton of calories in just that way! I normally carry those Crystal Lite single-use packages and add them to my water for something different.

Thanks for the tips! I usually take the Crystal Lite singles with me for a change. :thumbsup2

I keep saying I will make a GMail but I have a zillion of those dang things and can't keep them all straight. :lmao:

BTW, when is FTB going to be closed?? We were hoping to go there!

I think it will be open when you get there. :confused3

Cue the McGuyver music! Richard Dean Anderson would be so proud!

August 9 - September 19

Thanks Kathy! I forgot the exact dates. I could not get past the fact that we'd miss it!

:confused3 I have not heard that. I have not checked on the thread recently for MNSSHP either. I will have to call to find out and see what they tell me.

I want the DVD set you mentioned!! I am trying to be good :rolleyes1 :woohoo: for getting so many things done! Great finds at Target! I just love going there. :thumsbup2

Weight: You will be walking so much, I bet you should be able to indulge in a snack or two while down at Disney!

I had not heard about Flame Tree being closed, I guess that knocks it off our list for our AK day.

The DVD's are awesome.

I hope that we will do enough walking at a decent pace to walk off a few pounds...even ounces! :lmao:

I am still so dang mad about FTBBQ.

I am on the phone with Disney now, and the CM I am speaking to said they have not heard anything about not allowing party guests in until 7:00. She said they should have separate turnstyle for us to go through and will be handed our bracelets anytime from 4:00 p.m. on. :thumbsup2

Isn't that funny how different CM's tell you different stuff? I wish they'd all just tell it like it is already. It kinda makes me mad. Good to know that we can get in after 4 again this year. By the way, we still need to pick a place to meet that night. :goodvibes

It's crazy, isn't it? Either let us in after 4 or make it 7. Just tell us which way it is. :cutie:

We are going to try Yak and Yeti CS this year and have never tried the TS, but I have read good reviews on the place and there are a couple of items on the menu that I am looking forward to trying :teeth:

I'm glad Joe is recovering well. And Stevie is so cute!!!

As for snacks, I say to just keep it all in moderation. One thing I learned lately is that you really can be satisfied with less. (I say I learned it, but I'm still working on applying it consistently.) Try to share snacks. Or just have a few bites (or half) and then throw it away. Just because you paid for it doesn't mean you need all the calories. And, like someone else mentioned, with all that walking, you'll probably come out about even.

Just getting all caught up. It has been so hot and miserable here, as you know, that I have felt like doing nothing.

I will post my pics from our meet tonight when I get back from class.

I'm going to have to check out their menu. I am still so upset about FFBBQ. :sad1:

My sister and I were talking about sharing snacks as one way to at least get a taste of those things that we have been looking forward to. I think I am the only person that has ever been to WDW that has never had a Mickey Ice Cream Bar. :scared1:

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 Still waiting for the picture! lol!!! How have you been?

I wanted to share with everyone the fabulous package of goodies that Joe and I got from Stefy and Dave!

I spent last evening reading the magazines. It's so fun to see the differences in magazines between the US and the UK. I really enjoyed myself!!

There was so much fabulous stuff in the box!!! Here are some of the goodies:

These guys are sitting next to me in my home office as I type this.

This is a wallet that I have already put in my Disney bag.

I'm looking forward to reading this book from Stefy.

packageandcats004.jpg

Here is the very cute card that was in the package.

packageandcats003.jpg

I love, love, love the Beauty and the Beast pillow. It's in our room.

packageandcats002.jpg

packageandcats001.jpg

There were other things too in the package: the singing alligator from princess and the frog (can't remember his name right now), 2 travel games which I will take for our plane ride down, there was a Wonkey which we're dying to try out, and some other items as well. I got so excited that I didn't take pictures of everything!! I also have a magic wand that Joe is fixing for me. The top star didn't make it in transit but luckily, it can be fixed!

Thanks again Stefy and Dave!

I thought since I had the camera out that I would take updated pictures of Stevie....all 3.1 pounds of him.

packageandcats027.jpg

This is Tessie Jean. She got busted on the counter. :lmao: She is going to be 13 and is now very, very thin. :sad2: We love her and know that we're lucky to have had her this long, given all of her ailments over the span of her life.

packageandcats030.jpg

This is Lucy. She is rather large...........

Gus would not sit still long enough for me to get a good picture of him.:sad2:

I cannot believe my ticker says 1 month, 4 weeks and just a few days! :scared1: I remember when I started to plan this trip...it said 11 months, 4 weeks and some odd days. Wow, where has the time gone?

I am still debating a cake. One day I say I am getting one and the next I say that I am not. I just don't know what to do. It's our 10th anniversary and I really, really want one. I only want one from the GF Bakery though so my choices are I spend a small fortune and have one delivered to our Wishes Cruise, where it will melt like last year's or I order it for the night that we eat at the GF Cafe. Hmm, decisions, decisions.....what should I do???????

I am also really going to try and get a watch engraved for Joe. I am hoping that I can buy it on day 1 and go from there. I had a thought....I wonder if they'd do it at the Christmas Shoppe? I need to start poking around on the DIS to ask questions. I just wish I had the time to do so.

I started to put together a list of what I want to bring back. Here is what I have so far:

1. Mickeyroni and Cheese - It is always fun to make a box in the middle of winter and sit around thinking about our last Disney vacation.

2. A hat - I have about a dozen so far and am hoping to add to our collection. I've been collecting holiday ears and so far I have Halloween, Christmas and St. Patty's Day. Not sure what to decide on next.

3. Christmas ornaments - let's just hope that I don't end up with a huge box to ship home like last year. I just love Christmas ornaments.

4. Scrapbooking stuff - I typically by the dated papers. I'm wondering what this year's looks like.

5. A new purse - either a Dooney or I want to add to my collection of handbags that are made from recycled candy bar wrappers. I am thinking of getting a blue one next.

6. Pins - I'd like to get the AP holder pins that they have out and the MNSSHP pins for this year.

7. A caramel apple with nuts - it's a tradition that I get one on our last day and bring it home with me.

8. Gifts - yikes, that list is growing!!

What do you typically bring back?????

Great update, your cats are so cute!

I laughed when I saw your list because I started mine yesterday! I always buy the pads of paper that have a magnet on the back and I keep them on the fridge for my grocery lists!:cool1: I always buys pens, at least 10! I too buy at least one Christmas ornament every year and either a t-shirt or hoodie. I really want a Dooney bag this year but we'll wait and see. I also collect Snowbabies and the last couple of trips I've bought one...one with Tinkerbell and one with Belle, but my wall unit is officially full so there will be no more of those:sad2: Oh, and antennae toppers, we go through those things like water because I always forget to take them off when we go through the car wash:rotfl2:

I get quite overwhelmed when we first arrive and I want to buy everything, so now we wait until our last couple of days and do our shopping then....I often think I need an intervention when I'm at WDW

Wow, what a fun package! Lots of cool things. :thumbsup2

Hooray for less than 2 months! It is crazy how fast time flies. Your trip will be here before you know it.

Oh boy, don't get me started on souvenirs. :scared1: I have tried to limit myself recently but that doesn't always work...but I usually bring back all the pointless stuff like pins and now I'm slightly obsessed with the vinylmation Mickeys. You should totally get one of the D&B bags. I got the wristlet on our trip and I love it! But now I see they have colored ones. Kinda mad about that. LOL.

Thanks. I just love my kitties.

I usually do get a hoodie every year too. Sometimes more than one when I can't decide. :rolleyes1 I have collected a bag of antennae toppers too. My problem is that I forget to use them. I don't change the themes so I have like 50 or 60 of them in a bag. :rolleyes1

I get overwhelmed when we first arrive too. I want to get it all purchased immediately so that I don't "have to worry about it." :lmao: My family laughs at me when I do that. On the off chance that I tell myself I will wait until the end of the trip, I either can't remember where I saw what I wanted or they don't have it anymore. :confused3 Joe always says "just get it now." I think he says that so I don't drive him nuts. :thumbsup2

Ugh, the vinylmations. I totally forgot about those. We started collecting them last year. The other night Joe and I were looking at them on line. I am obsessed with getting my hands on Bunson Honeydew. :lmao: I just may get the bag. Maybe I can talk Joe into it for my 10th anniversary gift. :cutie:

We end up at UPS every freaking year sending boxes home. Last year we sent home about $88 worth of deliveries. It's ridiculous, but I don't care.

Great update!!

Love the box of goodies!! Great loot!!!

Awwww...your kitties are adorable! I have two kitties that are with my parents right now and I miss them terribly!!

Love lists!!!

We are so glad you love the gifts and I knew you would just love the Belle pillow, besides being our fav princess, the colours are also really vivid too which makes it stand out even more :goodvibes

I hope the chocolate arrived in one piece and I can't believe the wand broke, am so sad :( I hope Joe can fix it.

Gosh look at Stevie, he's grown so much and he looks like he is getting and the others are looking well and just too cute :goodvibes

Yay for being in the one month etc mark, its going to fly by :)

Love your list if bring backs. I would bring back the entire contents of all the stores if I could, but DF say's I'm not allowed :(

Love the package sent to you by Stefy! Such a sweet surprise. :goodvibes The kitties are adorable! TFS the cute photos. Hopefully Gus will cooperate one of these days for you.

I cannot believe our trips are this close!! :scared1: I have so much to do between now and the trip.

The Cake: I have the same dilemma of what to do. I know I want to do one and have it in the budget to do so (though probably not a Mad Hatter, but we will see). My debate is mainly over what type of cake. If you are considering having it delivered, why not to your room one night? You would not have to worry about it melting that way. :goodvibes We are having DD's cake delivered to PF since that is where her birthday dinner is going to be. My DMIL and DFIL will take it back with them to the resort since they are not going to MNSSHP.

I have a similar list going for us of things we will be on the lookout for to bring back. Definitely the ornaments, scrapbooking stuff and the pasta. I am considering a Dooney clutch for date nights with DH. Probably get a few gifts for my nieces and nephew. quite the list already! I also want to look for a cute popcorn set since we love eating popcorn on our movie nights. :goodvibes

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 Still waiting for the picture! lol!!! How have you been?

I know you are waiting and I feel so bad but we can not find them on her memory card anywhere. I plugged it into the computer and they were not there. Plus we lost all the pics from my Grandma's 90th birthday party. So we had my uncle take a look and he could not figure it out. I feel horrible about it.

I'd miss my kitties too if they weren't with me. :sad1:

Oh my! What a great box of gifts! I love that Belle pillow!!

Thanks. :goodvibes I love the pillow too.

We love everything that was in the box! Joe will be able to fix the wand easily. :wizard: It just needs a little pixie dust (and super glue).

I think I'd bring back a lot more if our house was bigger. I'm running out of room!

Ugh, this cake dilemma is killing me. Last year when we ordered one they said that we can't get it from the GF Bakery unless we have it delivered to a restaurant in that resort or the boat dock (wishes cruise). It cost a small fortune to have it delivered to the boat dock last year too. I just don't know what to do. The cakes that we have had in the past that came from another source just didn't taste good to me.

Last year they had a super cute popcorn set that I really wanted to buy. I think I saw it at the kitchen store at DTD. So cute. :lovestruc

I mentioned the D&B purse to Joe today. I didn't get much of a response so I guess we'll see what happens when we get there. ;)

I know you are waiting and I feel so bad but we can not find them on her memory card anywhere. I plugged it into the computer and they were not there. Oh Elizabeth, I feel so bad that you lost the pictures of you grandma's birthday party. That's terrible. :sad2: I hope that they somehow show up.

ugh.. I'm SO SO SOOOO sad that we will not be with you for your 10th anniversary :( SO sad we will not be with you for any of this disney trip! BUT, I am super happy for you! Great stuff from stefy!!

I think you have a good list of things to bring back! Heres some more things I always love!

*Can't recall if it was on there, but you love bringing home a giant mickey rice crispy head!! don't forget that..although you'll have to have just a tiny piece to stay on your ww track :)

*Pressed Pennies, that was a lot of fun last year!

*New autograph books..although, did you make them this year?

*A new pick a pearl?? Can't recall if you said you wanted to do that again!

* Stuff from different countries?

I can't find my "official" list, so that's of the top of my head. I'll post more if I can think of anything <3

PS- Lil kitty is cutie!!
