Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

Awesome pictures, MeMom! Looks awesome!

You know, Ms Jackie, you should consider a Christmas-time trip to the World....maybe you will luck out and there will be a fabulous bounce-back or some other great offer! :cool1: The cool people will be there......:rotfl: No kidding, wouldn't that be fun!!??

It would be so much fun -- I would love to go back at Christmastime -- I have never seen Animal Kingdom all decorated for the holidays.

This is very true! Lots of cool people watching New Years Eve fireworks on the beach of the Poly.:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

That would be so awesome -- I wonder if I could convince Santa to bring us a New Year's Eve trip! ;)

It was on Ovation. We just got DirectTV and I discovered this channel last night.

Oh, we don't have that one -- darn it! :(

Ahhh Jackie you guys leave so soon!!! I'm so excited for you and for you guys to get to stay at AKL!

We are pretty psyched ourselves right now!

On the 8th day 'til Disney, I...thought about packing. :rotfl:

In my defense my father-in-law and his wife are in town for the weekend. They traveled from Dallas to attend my nephew's confirmation on Sunday. So, we were pretty busy visiting. I did "think" a lot about how I wished I was packing though.

I thought today I would share my drink wish list.

Jackie's Drink Wish List

Animal Kingdom Lodge:
Victoria Falls Mist from Victoria Falls
A Painted Lemur from the bar at Sanaa
Whatever yummy concoction the pool bar might have to offer!

Epcot:
Welsh Dragon at Rose and Crown
Tokyo Sunset at Teppan Edo
Sultan's Coladas and Tangerine Daiquiris from Morocco
Bellini from Italy

Disney Hollywood Studios:
A Hollywood from the Brown Derby
Red Hero from the Backlot Canteen

Animal Kingdom:
Lost on Safari from the Dawa Bar
Safari Amber -- I am undecided about this one -- I am not a big beer lover, but sometimes I like one -- we'll see.
Yak Attack

I think that's it...for now. ;)

Well, here's Mickey telling you to come on down,

so you can see this!

A short after Christmas trip staying at a value wouldn't be that hard, would it?
Aren't you a lot closer than we are? No plane tickets is a big plus! :thumbsup2

We'll work on Santa and see if we can talk him into a quickie trip for some awesome fireworks with some festive friends. :santa:

When the Main Mouse invites don't you have to come or risk losing your ears!!!!

WTH Jackie???!!!!!

There is a serious error in your drink list...it is missing the all important slushie - either the grey goose or grand marnier variety. What gives?

No plane tickets -- base tickets -- a value -- fireworks with friends -- and a personal invite from Mickey himself -- I am trying to figure out the logistics of it already -- it would sure make Christmas shopping for the kids easy!

When the Main Mouse invites don't you have to come or risk losing your ears!!!!

That statement has a very Godfather-esque ring to it -- Disney style! :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Boy! Nothing like a little peer pressure!! :rotfl:

Kathy

And MeMom and Jill know my weaknesses only too well -- I am ready to cave already! ;)

WTH Jackie???!!!!!

I know...I know -- I just can't decide if I really, really want one or not. I like tart but not too tart...I should really try one, shouldn't I?

Cute! Where are you finding the descriptions of all your must have drinks? I'd love to take a look!

Also, is that neon I spy on Chelsea's shirt? Of all the trends from the 80's, can you believe neon is making a comeback?:scared1: My girls like it too.:rotfl:

I have read threw your trip report. What a cute little puppy. I am like you I would have to take one home. I have such a soft heart.
We have 4 days to go and I am all packed with the exception of our last min. items like daily meds.
Well said about the dinning plan. I am the same way about that. I hate trying to plan and save for my meals. With the dinning plan I know it is all paid for and I can eat what every I want so long as it is on the list. We are on the deluxe dinning plan. I am dying to try a dole whip, but think I want the one with orange sorbert in it. yum!
Hope you have a great trip. fyi we have a ressie on the 9th at the crystal palace that I have been tring to change to the 10th. How cool if we were all 3 there at the same time.
We will be the crazy people with 5 kids, 9yr, 7yr, 4 turning 5yr, 2yr turing 3yr and 10 month old with a red double jogging stoller and a green bagallini. Fyi we just moved to the charleston area from Milledgeville, GA almost 3 years ago. We absolutely love it here!! :cool1:

Yay for online check-in!

And yay for...thinking...about packing. ;)

I totally get it though, packing for a family is quite frankly, no fun. Although I do get a certain satisfaction of crossing things off the packing list, the actual process leaves something to be desired.

Although packing for a Disney trip is fun! I can't wait to see how the online check-in works out for you. And quite frankly, I was thinking of you yesterday and I was VERY excited for your trip. Reflecting on how I really enjoyed your trip report last year and how I can't wait to read a new one. :goodvibes

Lots of time on this thread:

Also, I have discovered others by reading the menus on allearsnet and some are ones that Charles and I have tried before.

Yes, that is neon on Chelsea's shirt -- she discovered Rue 21 with her grandmother the other day and came back looking like she was going to audition for a role in Flashdance or Fame. :lmao:

:welcome: Thanks for joining in! Isn't Charleston just gorgeous???

Hopefully we will run into each other while we are down there at WDW -- how long are you staying?

I don't mind packing too much except that I am usually exhausted by the end of it. Who would have guessed that I find packing more strenous than housework???

Thank you for sharing my excitement, TK! I can't wait to share everything that happens on the trip with you!

The calendar is looking good. The kids look great!

Here are a couple more AKL pictures for you, just to whet your wimbi a little more. :)

Zawadi.

I don't need to say anything about these.

Be on the lookout, though.
I hear there are ghosts around the place!

Oh, thank you, MeMom -- those zebra domes sure look tasty! This time next week, we will be there! It makes me all tingly just typing that -- I wonder if we will encounter the Ghost of Animal Kingdom Lodge while we are there. ;)

It's hard to believe that I am officially at the "this time next week" stage! Sadly, with family visiting, I have not begun packing yet -- although I did pull out the suitcases today!

Connor's Top Five Worst Moments at Walt Disney World

1. December, 2004: While standing in line for Mickey's Philharmagic, my MIL and I look around and realize Connor is not in line with us -- a line we have been standing in for several moments! Worst moment ever! He was five! :scared1: I backtrack as quickly as possible and find him standing near the Carousel in a sea of strollers. Hands-down my worst moment ever at Disney.

2. June, 2007: I tell Connor he can't buy a stuffed animal lizard at Mombasa Marketplace in Animal Kingdom. He cries all the way out of the park and all the way back to the resort. In retrospect I should have let him get it -- who knew it would mean that much to him!

3. October, 2007: (He would die if he knew I was sharing this one.) Standing on the platform of AstroOrbiter he has an "accident." Poor child doesn't like heights. Hence is born the regimental bathroom visits every couple of hours on subsequent trips.

4. June, 2008: Three words: Toy Story Mania. Need I say more?

5. June, 2008: Connor dumps a frozen lemonade all over himself at Disney Hollywood Studios.

Clearly Connor has chosen to remember all the great moments we have had at WDW as opposed to the bad ones -- heaven knows, I am not going to remind him about them. ;)

This had me laughing and laughing and laughing. I am so sorry. :rotfl2:
I know they are "worst" moments... only the first one has a true scare to it, the others are part mishap and meltdown, just part of the fun of kids and Disney I guess. But the way you shared these... cute.
