Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

It's hard to believe that I am officially at the "this time next week" stage! Sadly, with family visiting, I have not begun packing yet -- although I did pull out the suitcases today!

Well that's the next best thing! Lol. Sorry, but if I were in your shoes, I'd be packed two weeks ago.

Just a side note, though. My mom found this outfit that she really likes that's African themed but she said she had nowhere to wear it to. Being the Disney lover that I am (:rolleyes1), I said "Well.......we could always go to WDW and stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge." Sorry for the pointless sidenote. :upsidedow

That's quite a drink list!

Are you going to need the services of a wheelchair or ecv to exit the parks?;)

I can't wait to get my hands on that CD either!

I will report back as to where I am able to find it!

This had me laughing and laughing and laughing. I am so sorry. :rotfl2:
I know they are "worst" moments... only the first one has a true scare to it, the others are part mishap and meltdown, just part of the fun of kids and Disney I guess. But the way you shared these... cute.

Oh, yes, we can't help but laugh at numbers two through five -- we joke that Connor and Chelsea are continuing my own tradition of pitching some sort of fit on every family vacation when I was younger -- my mom and dad still bring some of them up -- my dad's favorite involved me pitching a doozy of a temper tantrum in a hotel in Paris when I was about ten. :rolleyes1

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew if I waited patiently... THE DRINK LIST!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

So I have just cut and pasted this onto a page of "must do's" for my trip binder! :thumbsup2

OH and I can't wait to see your Disney Drawer! And I love the "10 days", "9 days", "8 days" bit! How fun fun fun. I can't wait to ticker away the final 7!!!!! YAY for you!!! :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

 I am honored that my drink list is now in your binder. :thumbsup2

Later today I will do a 6th day update!

Okay, yes, don't fall over in your chair ONE more post from me. So you should definitely look at a Christmas trip!!! look at all these arm-twisters out there! I'll be one more, since we'll be there!!

And lastly, YES. You should try one of those slushies! OR both. So you can tell me which is better!!! :rotfl:

Okay, Happy Dog is going to take a break. Didn't mean to monopolize the posts on your PTR!!! But.... SEVEN days. I mean, come on. :hyper:

Post away, Happy Dog!!! :goodvibes

Are you going to be there over New Year's or earlier?

I will try to taste test at least one of them for you!

Hey girl! I finally started the May report. Check it out if you have a minute. I know you have a lot going on with the trip coming up and all!
;)

Oh, I always have time to check out your TR! I can't believe all the rain you got on the drive down!

Well that's the next best thing! Lol. Sorry, but if I were in your shoes, I'd be packed two weeks ago.

Not pointless at all! It fits perfectly! What did she say when you said that about AKL?

That's quite a drink list!

Are you going to need the services of a wheelchair or ecv to exit the parks?;)

Nah, all the walking helps! Besides, I will only average one or two a day in all liklihood. :goodvibes

Are you going to be there over New Year's or earlier?
NO we won't be there for New Year's. We are there the week leading up to Xmas -- Dec 19 - Dec 27.

We miss the Christmas party, but will be there Xmas eve and Xmas day... Have to take off the last three days of school before winter break. But I wanted to be there for Xmas day.

Looking forward to "the 6th day" update! :goodvibes

I'm caught up! Phew.

*Love the luggage tags.
*Love the Connor moments..too cute.
*In regards to the Welsh Dragon...I asked the waiter how it was and he said it wasn't the greatest...not to discourage you. I had the magical star cocktail...oh my goodness. It's on a lot of the menus but just so you know, you should try it.
*I'm really sad I missed you by such a short amount of time. What a bummer!

WTH Jackie???!!!!!

There is a serious error in your drink list...it is missing the all important slushie - either the grey goose or grand marnier variety. What gives?

I know...I know -- I just can't decide if I really, really want one or not. I like tart but not too tart...I should really try one, shouldn't I?

You should try one definitely!!!!! I tried the orange slush and it wasn't tart at all, it was sweet like a creamsicle! I'm sayin go for it :thumbsup2 Otherwise that drink list is soooo appealing!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am sad we missed each other by mere days, too! What was in the magical star cocktail???

There was nothing said, just a whole lot of eye rolling. Besides.....her dream deluxe is the Poly.

Sounds like a typical mom reaction! :lmao:

Oh, I love creamsicles!!! :goodvibes

This was taken this morning before we left for church. I promise you all that the kids are still excited! I just don't think they had woken completely up yet. :rotfl:

Now we are really getting down to crunch time. I have made our final to-do list with things that need to be done each day from here on out.

We have suitcases out. My poor black suitcase looks awfully dusty after sitting in the closet for a year.

I opened and emptied the trip drawer. I had forgotten about some of the stuff I had bought. It was like opening Christmas presents. "Oh, look, I bought Tums! And Nemo band-aids! And Toy Story tattoos!"

Here are all the guidebooks, the all important trip binder, and the Disney World rubbermaid container that will soon be filled with autograph books, trip journals, and pin lanyards!

I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. This time next week, we will be at Animal Kingdom!

Is it time for you to leave yet? Baylor keeps asking what day do we meet up with you all, he has no memory down here!

I'm planning on the Grey Goose slushie, if it's not wonderful, I'll make Shocker drink it and get the Grand Marnier, I had it in March and it was tasty!

Jackie, you're so organized! I like that you have a trip drawer. I usually have a designated laundry basket. :lmao: It's not quite as neat, but it works. My goodness, let the countdown begin, you are sooooooooo close. I'm excited! I can only imagine how you must feel. :goodvibes

I'm so jealous that you leave so soon. I love the lime green flip flops. We have a box that I covered in lime green paper that holds all our goodies from trip to trip.

A trip drawer. What a neat idea. I think I need one! ::yes:: So excited that you are under one week! :yay::woohoo::yay:

Can't wait for a CP TR! :dance3:

I have the same three guidebooks as you! Not like we need them, we're part of the Dis!

SIX DAYS! Yahoooooooooo!!

You are going to have a blast.

All I remember from the Magical Star Cocktail was that it was passion fruit liqueur I believe. It was really divine, it also had coconut rum in it but it wasn't overly coconutty. Mom had one too and she loved it. Also, Jen tried mine and she liked it. So you have three seals of approval! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

A trip drawer...that is a great idea! I have a box that I was throwing things into....but we outgrew the box a couple of times.

Love seeing the kids pictures..I should do this!

love the trip drawer!!
I'm getting excited for you guys--isn't it nice to say, "this time next week, we'll be....":banana:

These pictures are every OCD trip planners dream!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad I hopped on board before you left! I have new luggage from my trip to China...pictures coming soon....

TRIP BINDER..............:banana::worship::banana::worship:

Hey Jackie!!

woohoo, 5.5 more days!!!

My hubby is now employed but we have to move to Houston, :guilty:, but he got a good deal for these terrible economic times:thumbsup2.

Soooo, we are still not 100% on WDW for September, but I am crossing my fingers! My kids ahve NO idea still, so it will be a big surprise if we DO go. I have to tell you though that i cannot make anything for it, I cannot do anything but plan the meal on my own, b/c hubby is cool with whatever, and my kids cannot know!! BUTR after all this moving stuff that is gonna happen, I don't wanna plan much except for where we eat and what park we'll go to. The 2 basic things you HAVE to do before a Disney trip to enjoy it. (food-check, avoid EMH days -check)

I am enjoying your PTR though and I may have to make a PTR for my sanity!! But if we have to cancel, I'd be so bummed to scrap the PTR!!!

Lori
