Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

Whew!!! I finally finished reading your PTR!! I think I followed you on your last TR and I enjoyed it very much!
SO, your puppy is too cute!! I think we are just as much of a sucker for a doggie as you are. We have two, a Goldendoodle and a Labradoodle and now DD17 is adopting a 6mo old chocolate lab puppy. The stipulation for this puppy is that she pays for shots and his "surgery". I'll pay for the food, but it's HER dog. I don't really want another dog, but he was a puppy mill dog and needs a good home. She works at a pet store and one of her supervisors rescued it. Anyway, I think we're going for the name Bruno.
I share your flip flopping in the resort department. I wanted to stay at Beach Club, then Contemporary, then Wilderness Lodge, then back to Beach Club. I finally decided on POR. There are 5 of us, so it's an easier decision. We've stayed there before and LOVED it.
I'm SO looking forward to following you on your trip.

Jackie Guess What? I just checked the official WDW park hours for our dates and guess what? :dance3:

They still haven't posted June hours. :headache:

Mean. I know. Sorry.

:welcome: I am so glad to have you onboard! I also can't wait to hear how Bruno fits into your family! Nala is a complete hoodlum, but she has the most precious face.

You've stayed at POR before, right? We thought it was lovely there.

Cruel, cruel, cruel woman. :sad2:

Got my hopes all up for a second. ;)

Oh, it made me laugh -- that's the kind of thing I would do. :goodvibes

Oh yeah, you're sitting at the computer laughing while your students are working hard on their projects. :surfweb:

My students are at Art right now.
But I admit to peeking in here earlier while they were silent reading. It's Read Me Week, so we were all reading. I just happened to be the only one reading the DIS! ;)

MeMom, I vote that reading the DIS totally qualifies........what a bunch of enablers I have found :rotfl2:

Soooo... that's what my kids' teachers are doing during silent reading! :rotfl2:
Yes, Jackie, we've stayed at POR once, on our last trip. We've stayed at POFQ twice, so I know that I love the area and to be able to get on the ferry to DTD.
I read on the official Disney website that the hours will be posted three months out. So in March, they'll post March hours + April, May and June. Then in April, it'll be April, May, June, and July and so on. I CAN'T wait to get the hours so that I can start planning ADRs.

Great updates! I've never been to the Main Street bakery. I may have to try that out this trip.

From the photos I have seen of all the yummy goodness contained in there -- it's a must!

Pretty much. ;)

I do think DIS reading qualifies -- it is reading and silent -- well, except when it makes us laugh out loud.

It's hard work, but we try. :lmao:

I always read something during silent reading -- being a good model and all -- just sometimes it is on the computer. ;)

Fingers crossed that on Sunday they will post the June hours.

So, I logged onto My Disney Vacation today just for something to do, and the new online check-in is on there. Since I am farther than 10 days away from my vacation it won't let me click on it, but I thought it was really neat to see it. It's the little things that make my day. :rotfl:

It seems like that online check in is pointless, im not really sure what the deal is, i guess we'll wait and see for some feedback! Im really interested in online dining reservations!

I don't really understand the online check in either, especially as it pertains to requests you have for your reservation as well. :confused3

Food and Other Yummies!
*Dole Whips: Can I just say that as the weather gets warmer, my craving for delicious pineapple soft-serve ice cream rises!

*Sleepy Hollow Funnel Cakes: Mmmmmm!

*Main Street Bakery: Three Words -- French Toast Loaf!

*Pecos Bill's: A Charleston Princess and Family tradition.

*Columbia Harbor House: Everytime I see pictures of the food here, my mouth starts watering.

*Crystal Palace: Winnie-the-Pooh and Mickey Waffles!

*Main Street Confectionary: We love their fudge.

I'm sitting here at work, trying to avoid breaking out the popcorn or some other snack, stomach growling and I read this list. YUM!!!!!!!!! I will have to try that fudge sometime...

Also, congrats on just one more payment to make! :yay:

I give full credit for the below information to Brookelizabeth who posted it in one of her TRs or PTRs. I'm not a stalker... I promise.

Christine, you ROCK!!! :worship: Brookelizabeth, you do, too, for compiling this list!!!

This is so going in the trip binder!!! In a place of honor!!!

I was really wanting to get some of those special shots, so I dug up the info on what was all offered...glad it continues to help people!

Jackie, I hope you get the Tink and Capt'n Hook ones! I saw the Capt'n Hook ones being done in January, but we weren't doing PP so we kept going. They are really cute!

That is really cool!! It would make my day too. :goodvibes I am looking forward to seeing how it works for people, if they are more likely to get their requests, etc. Do you plan on using it?

Jackie...you are the Queen of list writers!:worship: :worship:

I'm kicking myself Jackie! I went to the movies on Sunday and as I was walking in looking at the statue of Anubis I realized I should have brought my camera!! :headache:

Soooo... that's what my kids' teachers are doing during silent reading! :rotfl2:

Yes. Be assured that your taxpayer dollars are hard at work. :)

By the way, can I tell you how much I love Read Me Week?!?!?!?
:surfweb:
That's me, except with a bottle of water.
I don't drink coffee, but I guzzle water all day long.

Isn't it almost time for us to talk about Epcot for a month????

I think, really and truly, that it's a way to make check-in easier on the Disney side -- whenever I have checked in, it seems like the CMs click away on that computer for a really long time -- maybe it is a way to streamline all of that. :confused3

I am looking forward to those online dining reservations, also.

I don't really understand the online check in either, especially as it pertains to requests you have for your reservation as well. :confused3

If it gets me through check-in faster, I am all for it. :thumbsup2 Besides, it's a cool icon on my ressie.

I like the chocolate fudge with walnuts the best.

Also, congrats on just one more payment to make! :yay:

I can't wait until it shows a zero balance.

It does, it does. :wizard:

I hope we get those, too!

I will definitely try it -- I wonder though if it will affect the chances of upgrades.

Jackie...you are the Queen of list writers!:worship: :worship:

Ah, thanks. I really can't accept the title of Queen of List Writers -- Lady Lallie wears that crown, but I will gladly answer to Princess of List Writers. :lmao:

I'm kicking myself Jackie! I went to the movies on Sunday and as I was walking in looking at the statue of Anubis I realized I should have brought my camera!! :headache:

That's okay, Carissa -- there's always next time, right?

Yes. Be assured that your taxpayer dollars are hard at work. :)

:rolleyes1

I don't drink coffee, but I guzzle water all day long.

...and state testing week when the students HAVE to sit still for the full hour no matter what, and I can read...and movie days...and library days...

Isn't it almost time for us to talk about Epcot for a month????

It is, it is! :cheer2: I started pulling pictures from past trips.

But first, I have a post with an announcement and maybe some teensy weensy little changes to share. ;)

Wasn't the last teensy, weensy change switching to a mod. then switching to a Savanna View at AKL within a week? :lmao:

But, please. I'm dying to know the teensy, weensy changes.

And EPCOT. Everybody loves EPCOT. ;)

Jackie... how about the announcement before I leave Friday for the weekend--- I know earlier than you wanted to, but please?????
