Don't give up hope

PS3 was at Wal Mart. Wii was at FYE. We never stood in line. Wii was purchased at 7:30pm and PS3 at about noon.

We aren't keeping the PS3..Happy to sell it to our former neighbor for what we bought it for. He was thrilled.



So happy we didn't go the ebay route. It was tempting at times.

Again--ask at every store. You never know!

DH is DESPERATE for a Wii. He's going into work late tomorrow in hopes of finding one somewhere. My kids will be shocked if one turns up under our tree on Christmas morning. They haven't ever asked for one, but I know they would love it.

Wow...that is just amazing. My son's friend was shot standing in line at a Wal-Mart in CT waiting in line for a PS3. And had he waited a few weeks....

He is recovering after 12 days in intensive care. He was very very very lucky. These boys shot him at point blank range.

The three "young" men arrested for the shooting are being held on ONE MILLION DOLLARS CASH BAIL in CT. The first time the State has ever asked for CASH bail in THAT amount. Those boys are going no where. They are behind bars.

Now, that is just right down scary. I hope your son's friend is going to be okay. Am sorry, but I think people are just getting way to caught up in all these new video game systems~ what does everyone do with all there old ones? I still have the very first Nintendo, along with the first Playstation. I know there's no new games to buy for them, but I have a ton of games for them so I am okay. I understand it's fun in everything and that's whats hot, I was just wondering. That's just so sad and crazy, that someone thought had to shoot someone over one of these video games! I hope they don't get out of Jail any time soon!!!!

As far as our road to the Wii--


The PS3 was too expensive for our tastes (as far as game systems go). Plus our children are only allowed to play on the w/ends. Waaaay too much money for something that would be "sitting" all week. But, I bought it b/c I knew someone would be happy to buy it from me for the original price...not the jacked up ebay price. I had no trouble finding a buyer

The Wii was another story. DH really wanted the kids to have this for their "big" present. I cannot belive how truly difficult they are to find.

My husband found a Nintendo DS Lite at Microcenter this afternoon. They are next to impossible to find as well. I think impossible bond is just right for the shooters in this case. Crazy!

I hope Nintendo sends him a personal Wii system with 8 games! Can you imagine?

I spent two weeks going to different stores each day, waiting for the UPS shipment. I met many people and really had a good time. That is what these lines should be, a good time for all the people with a common goal. You never think you are putting your life in danger.

I just checked at 3 stores yesterday, two Gamestops and EB Games. I was told no more Wii's until after the 1st of the year, one guy even told me Nintendo's warehouse was empty. Not sure how true that is, but I know many of the stores Circuit City, Target and ToysRUs that got a shipment in this past Sunday did say it would be the last shipment before Christmas.

We cannot find a Wii anywhere. My mom emailed Nintendo, and they said we should have no problem finding one. That's what they think.
