I had never noticed the "Copy Image" option in the Edit menu, it hides the controls in the upper right corner, then captures. It makes for a lot less cropping and makes framing something easier not having to worry about it (I've had problems with it not letting me back up through a tree to get the exact shot I wanted). If you have the sun on, it will hide the slider bar but still show the date and time.

Directions in the first post have been updated.

One more tonight... then I should really study for my exam tomorrow morning :p

I turned off the atmosphere (OH NOES!) and left the sun off to make it look lit up at night. Then I added some stars because there were only about 9 in it before I cropped it...

Wow, those pics are great!:thumbsup2

I must be doing something wrong (or it's running very slow for me) because I haven't been able to get as closeup to things as you all have:confused3

I'm having tons of fun with this.

I just remembered today that you can hide buildings when you right click them.

marypops, i assume you are talking about the ugly gravestone things? it looks way better without them! (I like the idea of the plaques but the stones are still hideous)

budcollector, if you uncheck the Geographic web layer it will hid the mickey head placemarkers, then use Edit -> Copy Image it will hide the controls in the top right.
