Pat, all I know is that I can get the miles in on a bike a whole lot better than I can on my feet. Ha!
Went trail walking for the first time this morning with some other ladies for ~ 8 miles. I really enjoyed it but discoverd that I need to get some trail shoes for better support instead of using my running shoes. On another note, I only managed to trip and fall once so that's good news.
Oh, and I brought back some souvenirs - chiggers. Yikes!
Going for a 35 mile bike ride tomorrow that will involve a few hills. There is one hill that I just can't quite ride up yet. I huff and puff just walking up it. DH Steve is going to try this route for the first time tomorrow. I think he just wants to show me up on that hill.
Going down on the other side is a lot fun, though. Wheeeeeee!
Goofy training starts on Tuesday for me. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to it but I want to do this. Having other people go through the experience with me, albeit virtual, really helps! I'm already learning a lot just by following this thread.
