Goodbye Nescafe coffee ... Hello Joffrey's

Nescafe has never reminded me of Disney. I guess for those folks who only remember the recent past, then it might. But I remember back to the good old days of Disney Coffee being 100% Columbian Coffee (hello Juan Valdez?). Now THAT was coffee. DH and I would both sigh a happy sigh every time we took that first sip of rich, strong brew. Joffrey's comes close. And now I can completely avoid the onsite Starbucks. Thanks Disney. :)

:flower3: I was hoping I wasn't the only one who remembered the 100% Columbian coffee! It was THAT coffee which caused me to fall in love with the whole coffee drinking experience... in fact I still drink good coffee black! :coffee:
THANK YOU DISNEY WORLD!

Every other change happens very quickly, what's taking soooo long?

I'm with you! Holding onto hope it'll be changed by May.

Well for one thing they have to replace all the coffee machines from Nescafe instant mix machines to real drip machines.

Also they may have to wait for the old contract to expire.

You aren't the lone weirdo, my DH is probably going to have a melt down over this one. All he talks about is how excited he is to go to CS at the resorts and get Disney coffee in the mornings. He says their coffee tastes different than anyplace else and it is just a taste that he associates as "Disney". That's his Disney thing. He starts talking about that coffee the minute I start planning a trip. Of course, this is the man who can also drink Beverly at Club Cool, and say "I don't see what the big deal is...that isn't so bad" :lmao: Funny thing is that he is not a mild coffee person. At home, he grinds his own beans every morning and is extremely particular about the brand, and sometimes has some really expensive coffee beans on his birthday/holiday lists. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know he is drinking Nescafe instant at the Disney resorts. Anyone know what I can buy at the grocery store that gives him the "Disney" taste. I'm now interested in whether he would actually drink the stuff at home, or turn his nose up at it! ;)

yep that's me, i would never drink it anywhere else but at Disney,it always reassures me I am at Disney LOL. Never herd of Jofferys, does it taste like Folgers?, Starbucks would of been tops!

You do know they are adding one Starbucks location per park. :confused3

We are some of the few that actually like the Nescafe at WDW. It is one of those things to us that we can only get at WDW (like Dole Whips and Grey Goose Lemon slushies )and we look forward to when we are there. I hate all of these new changes there making at the World.!!!! :sad1:

You can actually get Dole Whips at a lot of frozen yogurt places around the country. Could for years.

My father is going to be sooooo happy... "Nescafe!" has actually become a swear word in our family over the years and after many WDW trips.

we always called it Nescrap.

looking forward to real coffee at the motherland!

Wonder what types of flavors/types of coffee will be available when Joffreys is fully in place? Their website lists a whole bunch:
French Roast
Colombian
Breakfast Blend
Viennese Blend
French Vanilla
Espresso
Mocha Java
Angel's Kiss (there's a name for a coffee!)
Hazelnut

Looking forward to choices! :coffee:

For any who will miss Nescafe I am truly sorry. For me personally it could mean actually getting and using the refillable mugs. Also, it would mean I wouldn't have to pack my own coffee. Nescafe just didn't taste like coffee to me. I drink about two cups of coffee every morning and I could not bring myself to drink it.

We found the single serve coffee pods in the resort rooms to be acceptable. At least it's brewed, not instant. Bought a pint of milk at the Hess to use as creamer. No need to bring our own coffee.

Same situation. Maybe. I like their espresso stands, but we bought their Kenyan coffee at the Kidani giftshop and it was undrinkable to me. Far too strong and just intensely bold. I do have my limits, LOL, and it hit the limit and went beyond it.
