Goodbye Nescafe coffee ... Hello Joffrey's

Thats what made Nescafe convenient, the coffee didn't sit around all day. So now will we get stale coffee threads.

With Nescafe would it matter if it sat all day?? It is a poor substitute for coffee. This change is the best news I've heard all week.

This sounds great on the surface but how will they actually serve it in say the food courts? At the coffee carts there are people there continually making fresh pots.

Are you giving up instant coffee for coffee that maybe sitting in a pot for hours. :confused3

I admit I have no insight but I envision something like they have at Panera's or in many of our area gas stations that cater to truckers. They are self serve, in large quantities and little chance to burn with spills or broken pots.

Do we have any idea or even a guess when this is going to happen?

I'm going to be there in 2 weeks and would really, really, really love a cup of coffee....

Article said in the next few months. I'm praying it happens soon. VERY. soon.

Folks need to report back from when they go to WDW on the coffee situation!

Even though its self serve its not self making.

I'm really not trying to be a naysayer, its was just a thought I had that when WDW first started with Nescafe it was probably a forward thinking product in that it dispensed coffee in a continuous process great for food courts and refillable mugs. Of course this was back in the day before $6 cups of coffee and as long as it was hot and dark brown it was coffee. :thumbsup2

So please don't look into my posts for some hidden meaning. :goodvibes

I'm just glad that they aren't forcing Starbucks as the only option.

I wish they would go back to Douwe & Egberts but this is definitely a step up.

You aren't the lone weirdo, my DH is probably going to have a melt down over this one. All he talks about is how excited he is to go to CS at the resorts and get Disney coffee in the mornings. He says their coffee tastes different than anyplace else and it is just a taste that he associates as "Disney". That's his Disney thing. He starts talking about that coffee the minute I start planning a trip. Of course, this is the man who can also drink Beverly at Club Cool, and say "I don't see what the big deal is...that isn't so bad" :lmao: Funny thing is that he is not a mild coffee person. At home, he grinds his own beans every morning and is extremely particular about the brand, and sometimes has some really expensive coffee beans on his birthday/holiday lists. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know he is drinking Nescafe instant at the Disney resorts. Anyone know what I can buy at the grocery store that gives him the "Disney" taste. I'm now interested in whether he would actually drink the stuff at home, or turn his nose up at it! ;)

I love Nescafé because it reminds me of Disney too! I've been drinking coffee everyday since I was 13 and own a coffee maker, Keurig and Nespresso machine- it's possible to enjoy quality coffee and still love Disney coffee! I will admit the coffee in the parks and restaurants is near undrinkable but having fresh, hot coffee with creamer "on tap" at the resort QS is part of the magic for me! Starbucks, Joffrey's... What's next??

Joffreys isn't new to the parks though..they've been around for a while.

Nescafe has never reminded me of Disney. I guess for those folks who only remember the recent past, then it might. But I remember back to the good old days of Disney Coffee being 100% Columbian Coffee (hello Juan Valdez?). Now THAT was coffee. DH and I would both sigh a happy sigh every time we took that first sip of rich, strong brew. Joffrey's comes close. And now I can completely avoid the onsite Starbucks. Thanks Disney. :)

Does Joffreys make tea? Nescafe makes some brutally nasty tea too.

If not, there is always Starbucks. I'm glad to see that some of you will avoid Starbucks, the lines gets ridiculously long as it is!

They have hot tea, I know for sure. DH was sick last year, got earl grey!

I always get good coffee at the stand right outside the exit to Tower of Terror. Is that Joffrey's?
