Goodbye Everwood...

I watched the season finale last night too. I loved the acting on that show...reminded me of the acting on Felicity another show I was sorry to see go.

Anyway, last night I was crying when Dr. Brown was saying goodbye to his wife Julia and telling her he was going to ask Nina to marry him...then he said something like he'd never come back to visit her grave anymore...

I thought that was a little strange. I know he was moving on which is to be expected...but even if he did get remarried, is it normal to NEVER visit the grave of your children's mother again? I don't know anyone in this situation in real life, but I just thought it was strange. I can understand no longer carrying a torch, but seems to me they'd visit once in a while just out of respect for the history and the fact it was your child's mother. :confused3

I thought that too... after all it was Nina and she already knew how much Julia meant to him. The visiting was cool, but never go back... I don't think so.

I also forgot to mention in my recap that the Abbotts got temporary legal custody of the baby "Lillie" and were told if mom didn't come back in a certain amount of time they would have a good chance for a permanant adoption.

I, too, am sad to see Everwood end. It was a great show with alot of life still left in it.

And I agree with those who said 7th Heaven should NOT have come back. I understand it was still getting high ratings but the stories have gotten so lame and it's already been on for TEN years. Everyone was prepared for it to end; there was no reason to bring it back.

So this new CW network will see me tuning into only One Tree Hill and Gilmore Girls. It's still beyone me though why Everwood didn't get picked up; this year is likely to be the dazzling Gilmore girls' last. Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel's contracts are up in May and the Palladinos are already gone. A-S Palladino had always intended to have the show end with Rory's graduation from Yale and given the show's poor 6th season, the Palladinos untimely exit, and Graham and Bledel's interest in other projects, I feel we're going to be forced to say goodbye to the girls this year.

Hopefulyl we'll see some Everwood DVDs in the near future. Only Season 1 has been released so far.
