So I received a BWV survey postcard the other day, went to login and that went smooth

1st question - how did you get to your DVC resort - I answered by car

Boom, survey ended, they were only looking for people who came by air

So I should be thankful for saving the time needed to fill it out but felt somewhat offended that a company would ask for my time and then basically dismiss me

thanks for letting me vent

cheers

That happened to me once- I think it was the OKW card- They asked if I was male or female. I checked female and BOOM- "Thank you, we don't require your response" or something like that!

I was willing to do Greenfield Surveys. I would answer 5-10 questions each time and then I would get kicked out because I was not the sample they were looking for. So, I just put them on my trash list of e-mail addresses. I guess I'm just not a typical anything, but I am a DVC'er and that's just fine with me.

Having worked for a market research company before, it isn't likely that they are interested in only men or only women or only those traveling by air. It's just that once a quota is met for a certain group or variable of population--such as men, women, etc., they don't need any more of that group to keep the sample representative of the population as a whole.

I agree they should have a better way of handling it than to kick you off. Perhaps have readers finish the survery and then analyze its variables later. Then again, everything is done automatically now rather than by people.

Maybe they could say, "Thank you for your time. Our questionnaire has been completed for those arriving by car, (or fill in the blank) We appreciate your willingness to complete the survey. "

I was thinking that angle as well. They could have been more specific in their "boom" kick out or....

They could have simply taken the data thanked me and then tossed it out afterwards.

thanks

It may be they were trying to get feedback on a new service they are considering offering. Deb Willis reported on her site that she was asked if she would consider using a service offered by Disney that would pick her up at the airport, deliver her to her resort, hold her luggage, and transfer it into her room when the room was ready. I also believe they were going to offer the option of going straight to the parks.

So, since you arrived by car, not air, they assumed you wouldn't be interested.

That is funny jaysue. Like who would want to hear your opinions, anyway? LOL ;)
Stinkin car...

But if the survey were for a service they might offer, just because you arrived by car on your last trip doesn't mean you will always arrive by car.

We alternate our methods of transportation.

My computer has been down for more than a week, and I am unable to of course now find the thread. But wasn't there just somthing about... Disney trying to get a Mears type shuttle in the works? I would guess maybe thats why they wanted the answers from people who flew in...

Ok, I totally can not find that thread.. Does anyone remember reading that?

Oh, jaysue if you only saw me trying to dance at my daughter's school dance last night I don't think you'd be saying that.
