I am going to Disney from 9/11 to 9/16 and I need some help deciding which plan would be best.

So I could either go to Epcot on 9/13 open 9am-11pm and miss the Food and Wine Festival. Or I could go on 9/15 open 8am-9pm and go to the F&W.

I've heard that F&W is crazy on the opening day. Is that the same for Day 2? And exactly how "crazy" is it? because it will be September when the crowd level is normally a 2/10.

I love extra magic hours, but my mom kind of likes the F&W. Which day do you all think would work better? If we miss F&W it would be kind of annoying just because it will be the exact next day, but is it worth it to get late hours?

My main question is how crowded is the 2nd day of F&W?

I have never been to F&W on opening day but my family always goes this time of year so we can enjoy F&W. We love it it is crowded but well worth it for us when we went last time it was a decent crowd so we were able to hit the booths with little wait. But I don't think we would miss it

I have been going to F&W for the past few years and have always been there opening week. I'll be there Sept. 13 - 18 this year and plan on doing F&W every day it's open. Normally I go Sept. 21st or so, which is when it's been opening in the past, it just so happens to open a week early this year, which means I'll actually get three trips on my AP this year. The only problem I'm seeing is that there are no little wine tastings and culinary demos scheduled until the next weekend, which is when it normally would have opened. I'm hoping that will change closer to it. I've never noticed the crowds to be that bad the first week.

You could try going 9/14, if that's Thursday. It should be CM preview day, but open to everyone.

It looks like 9/15 is a Thursday so i think you should be ok ... outside of the first day it is the Weekends that are usually crazy - during the week is much lighter

If you are really worried there is a chance some booths will have soft opens on the 13th but obviously no guarantees
